GETTING TO KNOW YOU FOR THURSDAY!!!!

Arlies Q
on 1/25/06 7:19 pm - Brandon, MS
I got up early to sneak this 'un in!!! I am fixing to get my stuff together and get the troops up and off to Decatur I go and watch out coast!!! I'll be spending tonight with Sissie and going south in the am! 1. If God had let (or lets) you have as many as you want, how many children would you have? And do you have them named already? I would have had 5....Two between Jon and Em and one after Em. I know I am a glutton for punishment! But I love kids - even teenagers!!! I have lots and lots of names picked out!!!! Micah Jamison, Bethany Arlies, Amanda Grace, are some of them.... 2. What kind of student were you? I was an EM!!! Pleased every teacher I ever had - except one....Good grades and if the teacher said do it, I thought it was the LAW!!! In other words, just call me "Miss Goody Two-Shoes" 3. Who, that you have lost along the way - either to death or distance- do you miss the most? My Daddy.....He died in 1980 and I still cry sometimes about him...I miss him constantly....I miss my Mother when things get stressful or I am in pain.... 4. Who is the oldest person you know? Aunt Jeannette is 87, but Uncle George is 89....I guess they are the oldest I know.....I had an aunt that died last year (Aunt J's sister) that was 94.....And Aunt Queenie (yep that was really her name) and Aunt Bernice were in there 90s.... 5. Who would you most like to be like? (Jesus is a given for most of us....so come up with someone else...) Well, I am very happy being me...but there are qualities that I would like to lift from others!!! I am alot like my Mother in tolerance and patience and that is a wonderful thing to me......I wish I had Em's attitude about food....I would like to be as loving and giving as MOther Theresa... too tough for me!!!! 6. Who is the most beautiful or handsome person in the world to you? Eazy-peazy lemon squeezey!!! Em, of course! And every time I look at her I am amazed how gorgeous she is! Course I could be slightly prejudiced!!! And Jon for handsome! If I weren't his Momma and were about 27 years younger....I'd be madly in love!!!! Poor Jim, he is a lowly third!!!!

1. If God had let (or lets) you have as many as you want, how many children would you have? And do you have them named already? I always wanted two, my boy first, which I was blessed with, Brandon. Then I wanted a girl, which I never had, I would have named her Brittany Lynn 2. What kind of student were you? In elementary, I was a good student. In Jr High and High, I was a terrible student, I was lazy and never did my homework. In college I am a wonderful dedicated student, I am a straight A student. GPA 3.87 3. Who, that you have lost along the way - either to death or distance- do you miss the most? My granny (my daddys mama) 4. Who is the oldest person you know? I guess the oldest living person that I know personally would be my great aunt, she is 94. 5. Who would you most like to be like? (Jesus is a given for most of us....so come up with someone else...) My granny, she was the most loving and caring person that I have ever known. 6. Who is the most beautiful or handsome person in the world to you? This one of course is bias.. I think my son Brandon is the most handsome in the world and my niece Haley is the most beautiful, of course they look like twins.... Love to you all! Rhonda 240/117 (how do I stop??)

Rhonda, My cousin is having the same problem. She keeps dropping a few pounds here and there. She's 2 years out and is 5'7" and weighs 124. Still within normal range, but not looking what she feels like is her best. She is trying to consiously eat alot more calories. I worry I'll have the same problem because I'm already at goal at only 6 months. I'm already trying to get into the "maintain" frame of mind...but I think I'll probably lose a bit more before I ever can start gaining again. It's a little scary. What have you been told? HUGS Kimberly

I have a consult in to my doctor, so we will see if I can actually get an appt with him or if I have to go to a doctor off base again. My medical doctor said if I get below 115 we will have to do something about it.. I may need to see the nutritionist to see what I am doing wrong. I am going to start keeping up with my food intake and see how many calories I am getting in each day and see if that is the problem, I have a feeling it is. I am not eating enough.. I will let you know what I figure or find out. Rhonda

DAWN - I'm that way too with the kids thang. Got 4, didn't really ask for that many, luv them all more than anything (so always thanking God for them), but did not ask for that many. Think I would have been one of those people if I could not have had kids, would have been okay with that...I knowd there was something I really liked about you. So, 1. is 4 is e-nuff. 2. Average in school grade-wise. Like Rhonda A's in college. 3. Mother's mother - Grandma Polly - I loved her sooo very much, and miss her soo much it still hurts...She was the sweatest, kindest, most patient...... 4. My husband's Aunt Faye in Batesville is 104 and still living at home, crocheting, going to church every Sunday. 5. Like to be ? Wish I could exemplify goodness and patience like my mom. Melissa is a good person to want to be like too.... 6. My daughters are both so very beautiful (like Arlies, I'm sure I'm a little prejudice there). I'm still pretty fond of the way my husband looks, specially when he has been working out heavy (hope he does not see this) I LOVE broad backed big armed men!!!! DeAnna.

I understand about the kids!! I wanted 5 BOYS and NEVER, EVER, EVER wanted a girl....I like little girls okay, but never wanted one of my own. Em knows this and knows how thankful I am that God knew better than me and sent her to my house! I wouldn't trade her for 5 boys or even 10!!! And it tickles Em to death that I didn't want girls....I tell her I must've been crazy!! Smoochies Arlies

1. If God had let (or lets) you have as many as you want, how many children would you have? **I'm not sure I would have ever stopped. As long as money was no issue either! I wanted 5 kids, or more. I just know that I wanted a big family. I have some favorite names that never got used, but most of my names got used since technically I've had 5 kids. LOL 2. What kind of student were you? **Terrible. Lazy. Too interested in boys, and trying to be popular. Not sure how I managed to get a full scholorship to college. Flunked outta that too! LOL Not really, but I didn't finish college. 3. Who, that you have lost along the way - either to death or distance- do you miss the most? ** I'd have to say my first daughter. 4. Who is the oldest person you know? **The oldest person I have known was my great grandfather who was 100. The oldest person I know now is the sweet dear lady in my church who is approaching 91 and still in church every Sunday. I can always count on her smile as I lead the songs. She doesn't sing, but she is always smiling, and I can tell, singing in her head. She is an incredible woman. Still gardens and everything! 6. Who is the most beautiful or handsome person in the world to you? **Well, duh, it's my kids. I think Olivia is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, and Brandon can't take a bad picture! Nicholas just has a sweet innocence about him that can't be beat. They are definately the most beautiful and handsome people I know... in every way. HUGS Kimberly

Just realized I left out number 5...poor number 5! I'll make it up now! 5. Who would you most like to be like? This is a hard one. I admire my mother alot because she has been sick my whole life, and still manages to "live" life. I strive to be like my dad. He's so cool and calm about everything. He has to be THE most understanding and generous person in the entire world. Remember Andy Griffith and Mayberry? That's my dad! HUGS again! Kimberly

1. I have one, Emily - would like one more of my own. Boy Name would be Benjamin Caleb and girl name would be Abbie Danielle.. Although I do like Gracie and Neely. 2. I was not a good student. I did just enough to pass. I never failed but I wasnt all As and Bs.. 3. By Distance = My dad and family in West Virginia By Death = My grandfather 4. Oldest person I know: Hmmm... I guess one of my grandmothers. They are pretty old. 5. I would like to be ME... haha... 6. Of course we all think our kids/friends/family are most beautiful so I will come up with someone else... Angelina Jolie - not just because she is drop dead gorgeous but because she is such a humanitarian. She is very giving and not just with her money - with her time.
