Getting to know Ya'll 1-25-06!
Hey ya'll Jane asked me to do this today! I sure im probably asking the same questions that have already been asked, but i cant remember so just anwser them again a hush up!LOL
1.What is you biggest pet-peeve? Mine people throwing cigarette butts all over the place and out there car windows( poptarts are fine)!!LOL
2.Whats the first thing you notice about a person? I always look at there shoes first!
3.Do you keep a food journal, count cals , protein , carbs ect...? I have little scrap pieces of paper all over the house where i write everything down ,I need to get a book! I count cals and protein, i dont realy do the carbs, i need to start!
4.How long have you been posting on OH? And how long did you "lurk" before you made you first post? I have been posting since MAy 2005 and i was a lurker for about 2 months before i got the nerve to talk to ya'll! LOL

2.Whats the first thing you notice about a person? I'm ashamed to say, but it's always been how big or little they are.
I think it comes from a lifetime of judging myself, and feeling judged! Not that I think good or bad of the person, it's just what I notice first.
3.Do you keep a food journal, count cals , protein , carbs ect...? I recently started really trying to keep up with things on fitday.com. I keep up with it every few days, just to keep myself on track. You know I did it one day and had eaten 1700 calories?!!! I about flipped!
4.How long have you been posting on OH? I've been here since January of last year. I posted immediately.
Now I lurk alot.

HAHA I know lots of people that THINK they know it all, i usually just shut up and let them keep THINKING it, and laugh under my breath at how stupid they truely are! Oh and im with ya on judgeing myself aginst every other woman in the room , resturant , store whereever i am, i wasnt gonna admit it , but since you did first i dont feel so bad!
Yesterday i went over 1030 cals i almost stroked i was still hungry when i went to bed i was not about to eat , i did drink a cup of decaf to try to feel that empty pouch!

I'm glad I'm not alone in the looking at size category!
As far as my high calorie day... I was really shocked. It was one of those days where I felt like I was having a "good eating" day. Everything was sitting right, and I never really got too full. I actually enjoyed it alot! LOL It was the day that I drank the 3 beers, so that added a bunch of calories right there, but as far as the food.... it wasn't bad stuff, just really ate alot. Lost 2 pounds that night too!
I haven't even been able to come close to that amount again. A typical day, I'm struggling to get to 700 calories! LOL I guess I'm still up and down alot with my food.

I know alot of people too who think they know it all. Most of the time I just go with the flow and let them feel like they are the bomb but then I laugh about them behind their backs. Mean isnt it...
Dawn, you are probably very active with those kids at home and you can have up to about 1200 cals a day with limited activity and still lose weight. That is according to my nutritionist. If you go over the 1200 you could exercise a little bit and burn that off. I am not telling you to eat more I am just saying 1030 cals at your stage is not high at all. While in maintance he said we could have anywhere from 1300-1600 depending on our activities.
Its hard to find foods that fill you up that dont weigh a ton in cals..
OOOOOOOO I'm ready for maintance!!!!! Itry to get in some kind of real exercise everyday, i dont feel like chasing these kids round with a switch in my hand is enough for me!haha Heck i dont even feel like going to curves is enough either i onlyfeel like i have had a good workout when i do aerobics for at least 45 minutes! Old school i know but it works!

Biggest Pet Peeve?
oh man.. that's a tough one. I got a lot of them, but my BIGGEST one must be folks that don't practice what they preach. I know I ain't perfect so I don't preach. I guide folks along the way, be it at work or at WLS, I like to tell them what works for me, what I do to curb certain bad behavior, and I readily admit I make mistakes.
What do I notice about a person first?
Male? or Female?

Posting on OH since the day I found there are message boards LOL I didn't even realize it, till a few weeks after I created my profile and actually clicked on different stuff. Before that I just looked at all those before/ after pictures and was in awe hehe
