My father got out of surgery sometime around 1 or 2 this morning. They were able to get blood flow going into and coming out of the leg. They believe they can save the leg. The concern now is that the kidneys did not start back working like they thought. They were doing dyalysis again this morning, and they hope his kidneys will start back. They feel like the kidneys went into failure due to the stress on his body and the severe dehydration. They are hoping it is reversible damage, and that with the dyalysis helping they will start back working on their own. He is considered to be in renal failure so now it is just a waiting game. We have prayed and put him into God's hands. Now we sit back and trust his will. Thank you so much for all of the prayers. They got him through a very risky operation. I told him last night he had prayers going out all over the state of Mississippi and that we would pray him through. So keep them coming. He still needs them. He said tell everyone thank you for praying for him. My daddy is a precious man. Even in his pain last night and fear he was worried about me being up there in my condition. I am trying to stay positive and keep my faith strong. And you guys are a great support. Thank you again. Melissa

You know I love you honey and your daddy will be just fine. He has been thru alot over the past year but you know how strong willed he is and too bull headed to let this get the best of him. I know what he means to you and your family and he knows that too and you know he will not give up and he will win like he has done so many times before. I am praying excessively for you and your entire family and if I can do anything please let me know... Even if it means Catherine wears my contacts! I love you, Christine

Thank you for just being there for me to lean on. I appreciate and love you so much. Maybe it won't come down to letting Catherine wear you contacts on her cheeks - again! I am glad your mother is doing better. I guess she will be doing the physical therapy part now. I wish her the best of luck with her new hip. She will be up and dancing in no time I am sure. A friend of my Dad's just had hip replacement and he is doing great and in no more pain. He was able to dance with me at the Christmas party which he could not do last year. I will call you later when I know more about Daddy. Love you, Melissa

Hey Melissa, I am happy to hear that your dad's surgery went well. Hopefully his kidneys will straighten out and start working properly soon. I pray that he recovers fine. I am glad that you were able to visit with your dad. Be sure to keep rested and hydrated so that you recover quickly yourself. I know being a daddy's girl myself, that it is hard to think of yourself when your daddy is sick, but in this case, you must take care of yourself also. Take care and keep the faith... Also, remember you have MANY friends out here that love and care about you. If you ever need anything, I am only a phone call and a short hour's drive away. I am always here for you. Love ya! Rhonda

Thank you Rhonda. I appreciate it. Catherine and Stephens loved their goodies you brought them on Monday. Catherine was mad she didn't get to see you. She is so funny. SHe wanted to know where was Mrs. Rhonda, and why did she leave? My dad asked about you just the other day. I told him you had come by to check on me on Monday. He was glad to hear you guys are getting back to some normal living since the storm. I will keep you guys updated. Hugs, Melissa

Hey Doll, I'm glad to hear that your Daddy is doing some better. I'll keep him in my prayers & still have him added to the prayer list at church tonight. You take care of yourself also !!! That way he won't worry about you as much. Tammy 376/290/135-I hope

Thanks Arlies. You guys have been great support through all of this. Oh, and Rhonda did deliver your head rub to John on Monday. He said that was okay but he needs one personally from Arlies. So hope to see you soon. Melissa
