Insurance Question

Hello Fellow MSers, i've completed my first consult with my surgen on yesterday. They completed my Nutri Evaluation, Psch Eval, and will be sending a letter to my insurance company seeking approval but in the mean time they gave me a list of test that I have to complete such as the EKG, Chest X-Ray, EGD, Echocardiogram, and a Sleep Study. My question is have anyone who has had Atena insurance pay for the Sleep Study. I've seen that this is a very expensive study so help help help..

Hi Bathsheba! I also have Atena and just had my sleep study this past week. I had mine at Forrest General down in Hattiesburg. Atena will pay 85% of the cost and with Forrest General they asked for a deposit but since it was the first of the year I just paid my 300 dollar deductable. Not sure if other places ask for a deposit or not. Anyways hope this helps! Keli P.S. There is usually a good wait for a sleep study, just so you know. My appointment was made before Katrina and the study was January 10th.
