Today's Tip: Emotional Eating
Do you eat when you are depressed, angry, upset, sad, or stressed?
Eating for emotional reasons often leads to chaotic eating or
stuffing. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. When you find
yourself stuffing, try to slow down. Take a deep breath, and let it
out very slowly. Acknowledge the thoughts and feelings that accompany
your stuffing behavior. According to our dietitian, simple breathing,
relaxation and acknowledging feelings can be very helpful for reducing
the length of a binge episode.
I am so thankful for this upcoming course that I was telling you about. Maybe we will learn alot of stuff and I can pass it on here for those of us who do struggle with the eating. I know some on here have no problems what so ever with eating and have done perfectly well but I just wonder how they can just cut off that wanting to eat feeling. Ponders me.
You are SO Fat and you are loosing... More inches right now but the weight will drop too... You are doing great -- say that 20 times while looking at yourself in that mirror.
I hope that you learn lots of great things in that course i need lots of help! I need people that have done this and done it facing the same food related issues that i have to point me in the right direction! I know that we are both emotional eatters and food addicts to boot!So you get in there and learn , i expect an A+!!!!!!!LOL
Off to talk to myself in the mirror, hopefuly i won't break it!hehe
Yep, that is me!!!! I have a very stressful job here in Hong Kong, in fact everything here in HK is very stressful cause of small spaces, people in your face and no job security. It is a very compedititive place and so it is so easy to eat out of stress and boredom. There is not too much to do here, once you have seen the sights, no place to go except shopping and I have 5 bags of ourgrown clothes to prove that. Shopping is even stressful cause it is like going to a big rummage sale!!! Mall sizes are Chinese in size and unless you are very very tiny, you cannot buy anything there! I have a desk in a tiny cubicle and teach in small classrooms. So food is a good choice. I have been trying to limit snacks as much as possible or find good choices, not the easiest thing here cause we do not have as many choices as in US.......
