Today's Tip: Rice Portion
While steamed rice is a generally healthy food, one cup provides just
over 200 calories - 4-5 times as much as a cup of steamed veggies? To
save calories, reduce your portion size of rice and double or triple
your intake of vegetables. Your blood pressure, cholesterol and
waistline are all likely to thank you.
**Just curious if anyone else can tolerate rice or not... Sometimes I can if it is real mushy but if it is the slighest bit hard it just about kills me**
I feel cursed I can eat just about anything I try. If I cannot tolerate it my stomach will start to hurt. Haven't tryed Chinese. Tryed peanut butter for the first time and it was o.k. tasted pretty good now that I think about it. I tryed taco bell the other day just a soft taco. That was a big mistake. It was the first time that I threw up. Boy won't do that again.

I'm like Dawn, I can eat anything as long as I dont eat too much of it. I eat rice but not with chinese. I have a little with gumbo or etouffee or a couple pieces of sushi.
Usually I 'm greedy enough to just eat the meat/veggies at the chinese place and leave the rice behind I never have liked rice all that much to start with and can do without and not miss it lol

Rice is a staple food in our house. I can eat the heck out of it! I also LOVE it, so this is not a good thing! I am tolerating everything I try lately. Head hunger and munchie monsters are getting the best of me alot lately. I'm really trying to work on my self control.
Thanks for the tips - they help!

I can eat rice in small quantities. Rice is like pasta, sometimes it is hard to know when you have too much as it swells in your tummy and then ut oh...
I do love rice though, and usually eat it once a week or so.
Hope everything is going well for you, will you be at the luncheon on Monday the 16th? I miss you lots!
