NEWBIE!

Hello all! My name is Rhonda, I am looking into the option of LapBanding as a way to help me with my weight problem. I was wondering if anyone here has had this procedure done? Who did they use and tell me a little about their experience? Thanks so much! RHONDA

Hey Rhonda! Nice to have you aboard! I don't know much about the lapbanding, cause I, too, had the RNY. Who and were are you thinking of going? There is a lapband forum too for more info. Please let us know how it goes with you. Keep us posted and come back often! Smoochies Arlies

Hi Rhonda !!! Welcome to the MS board !!! I can't help much with the lapband issue, but they have a lapband board as well, you may want to check them out as well. Anyways, we're here for ya with support and anything else u may need to know. Most of us are RNY'ers, so Lapband is something we're not all that familiar with, but nevertheless we ARE here for everyone, pre-op, Post-op, RNY, LapBand, Dieting, or just looking into options. Hi Rhonda! I just wanted to welcome you.... I am looking at having the lap RNY so I don't know anything about the LapBand. I believe Dr. Carroll in Jackson and Dr. Byars in Oxford do alot of the banding surgeries. This site provides great support, advice, and wonderful new friends to help you along your way! Hi Christine, My daughters say, "MaMa you are just melting away before our eyes." It is just wonderful!!! I start physical therapy tomorrow in water arobics. I am looking forward to being able to exercise. I have just done so well and am so glad I perservered. It took 2 1/2 years but finally, I am on the loseing side too. I hope you have a great new year. I was divorced with 2 girls at home ages 6 and 12 left behind withh me. It was not easy, but with God as the Head of my household, we made it. You can too! Call me if I can help you in any way. Hi Rhonda, welcome to the baord, I too have RNY lap done !I do know that DR Avara in Ocean Springs does LapBanding! Sorry i do not have more info for ya. dawn
