Well, well, well - I will have to make him read these posts for sure then! This surgery is sounding more and more interesting every day! ha-ha You two BAD girls try to behave yourselves and let those boys get some rest every once in awhile!

Marci, If all else fails, go on the supervised diet, see how it works or don't work and maybe once you all see the results it will help everyone with their feelings about the surgery. This surgery is a life long change, and as happy as I am with the new me, if I could go back and could stick to a diet and lose it on my own, I would do that instead of the surgery. There are many ups and many downs to WLS. This is your body and your life, and you are the one that has to make the final decision. But it always helps for the ones that you love to be behind your decision. Best of luck and we are all here for you no matter what decision you make. Rhonda

I told him I would do the Health Plex and their diet if he want me to try it. But I am still going to talk to the surgeon on Feb. 6th. Thanks for your response! Marci

Hey Marci, I wish I knew exactly what to tell you that would help. But I don't. I can tell you this though.... He loves you & is scared for you. And he should be scared for you. We never know what God has in store for us. You could have surgery & everything go perfect. Then he would say that he did all that worrying for nothing. However there is also a chance that it won't & you could die. Then he would be beating himself up for giving in. I know that your in between a rock & a hard place. Try not to be too hard on him for loving you & wanting to make sure your with him a little longer. I know there are going to be people who will say that having the surgery will make you live longer than not having it. But I don't have proof of that. We never know when it is going to be our time to die. Only God knows that. True, the surgery will make you healthier but your still gonna die when your time comes. I have just stopped beating myself up for ever having surgery. Which is a great step forward for me & my family. I have been praying for that since surgery. Now if I could just get to the "I would suggest WLS" stage. I'm kinda like Rhonda, I've wished a million times that I would have gotten off my tail & actually worked at losing the weight on my own. I should have really really tried harder to lose it on my own. I know a lot of being sick & certain problems would have been avoided. And I wouldn't have to inspect everything for sugar like an FBI agent hunting terrorist. I wish you the very best & I pray that God will show you & your hubby very soon the way he wants you to go.
