I have had more than my share of downs lately. I have tried taking "lemons and making lemonade" of some of the situations and comments made by others. I really have tried to make the best of it. I just gotta air out this with friends who will understand. If one more person says: You better eat your are gonna get sick. or Are you eating anything? or Are you suposed to eat that?? (a snack size slimfast bar) or Aren't you spending a lot of money on clothes, you wear something new everyday. or Aunt Mables hairdressers neighbor had that surgery and she went crazy. You got you a man yet with that new body/ or anything similar. I am going to set up a lemonade stand right next to the Christmas tree selling places with a t-shirt ON THAT SAYS "HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW? WLS saved me form an early grave. Don't yall agree? Do you want a glass of lemonade? Proceeds go to my new clothes fund. Hahahahahahahah!!!!!!! hohohohho Every day is an opportunity for my improvement. (mental, physical, and social) glenda RNY 02-02-2004 was 391 now 140 and holding.

You know, you really have TWO choices. When life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade, ..........or you can freeze some of those lemons and throw them at people who are giving you a hard time!!! Hope things are better for you tommorrow. Best Wishes, connie

Yea, I am starting to get sick of comments too from people. I really really hate the way people look at my plate. Some company brought a cake to the paper today and no kidding my co-workers sent me 4 times to get them cake. I felt like such a hog - defending myself the whole time. "Its not mine, I promise"... cause I know they are thinking "Yea, she gonna gain all her weight back eating all that cake"... haha... One of the little skinny huzzies told me to cut her a big ole peice. Dont these folks know I gotta lick my fingers after I cut it. Sheesh! I wish people would worry more about what they are or arent putting in their mouths and not worry so much about what we are putting in ours. Its one thing to be supportive but another to expect us to never eat anything. Glenda, you have done really good with all you have been thru. Dont you dare let what any person ruin this wonderful new life experience for you. Brush off anything negative and just take a good hard look in them mirror and at the new you. You look fabulous and I am very jealous of you. Hope to see you at the meeting next Monday!

I cannot sympathize with anyone tonight. I am soooo stressed and feel like mutilatin something or someone. I am so stressed out. I need to take a huge xanax and runaway. Do you have a xanax. Boy could I use one now. I loved the thought of freezing the lemons. that is a new one. I feel like when I was pregnant. Are you feeling okay? Now it is gosh you have lost weight. How much more are you going to lose...you can't lose too much more or whatever... I told one lady would you be happy in a size 18 dress--ummm NO! Nuf said. I want to hear one person say Jane looks sick and then I might consider slowing down on the weight loss. I know you didn't bargain for all my complaining Ms Glenda. I am so sorry to steel your thunder. I do sympathize with you. It gets really old. Really old. Later and do say a prayer for me. I am really stressed and have issues that I have to deal with here at home. Nothing too serious just the normal every day family stuff. Love ya Jane

That is almost funny....Glenda. I've lost a lot of weight with the surgery, but my mother-in-law of the same name (Glenda), had WLS about 9 years ago, she is a tiny little thing, and that is all she hears - "you're gonna blow away" or "you're just way too thin" or "why don't you ever eat", etc etc...She is healthier now than ever and feels really really good, so was soo overweight before and high BP, heading towards diabetes, -like you and most of us know, this saved her life. I think some people just don't have anything better to do sometimes - where's the lemonade?!!! I'm just tired of them watching every move I make, with the little bit of weight I have gained back, I feel as if some people are just waiting for me to fail. Even with the 30 pounds, I am still healthier than before, and have soo much more energy and such......Love to you guys...D.
