recipes
I thought I would post a few recipes I love to make and eat. The casserole I have loved for years and we always fix it with dumplins and dressing. Isn'tthat weird what you get used to. Anyway it is string bean and chicken cass.
boil 2 or 3 boneless chicken breasts and break into bite size pieces. Open 2 cans french style string beans and cook for 10 minutes and drain in colander. Layer string beans first in glass oblong dish and then chicken on top. Mix 2 cans cream of mushroom soup and 2 tablespoons mayo. Spread on top of chicken and string beans. Dip light bread in butter and place butter side up on top to toast while casserole simmers for 30 minutes in oven that is 350. bake uncovered and it is sooo good. I sprinkle a little Tony's on my chicken to give flavor. If you use everything fat free it should be a pretty healthy meal for us. I just can't do meat well yet.
Easy pie
Mix together 1 cool whip---1 can condensed milk--one small packet lemonade or lime koolaid..the unsweet kind. place in graham cracker crust and it is ready. My husband likes it out of the freezer. It stores in freezer well for days too.
New roast recipe.
When my mil died this week a friend brought this over and I tried it again today. It turned out delish! Place rump or bottom roast in crock pot with one glass of water, sprinkle with salt and pepper, pour half a bottle of tiger sauce and sweet and sour sauce on it and cook over night on low.
The tiger sauce is with the A1 and stuff like that. THe sweet and sour is with the chinese and taco stuff. It is awesome because it is sweet but spicy all in one.
One more--fruit ball
2 cream cheeses
box of vanilla pudding mix--dry
small can drained crushed pineapple
mix and put in frig for a few minutes so you can handle it. then make into ball and roll in crushed pecans. serve with grahams. Yum
okay--cheese and sausage dip
2 cream cheeses
2 cans rotel
one large sour cream
one round thingy of ground sausage browned and drained
put in crockpot and serve with chips. I could drink this stuff!
Later taters
