Hi
Hi everyone,
I haven't had time to post in quite a while. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and is looking forward to a blessed Christmas.
Here ia a brief update on my progress. I haven't lost any more since my visit to the doctor on 11/03. I'm a little discouraged, but realize that most everyone plateaus at times. I know I haven't been getting in all the water and protein I need, so I'm going to concentrate more on that. I have actually figured out how to get more protein (protein powder in SF hot chocolate). I have also finally started to get all my vitamins in. I did pretty good Thanksgiving, but I did cheat a little - ate a little rice and some of my dad's wonderful homemade macaroni and cheese. Otherwise, ate shrimp. I have lost some more inches. Check out the figures at the bottom of my profile, if you're interested. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I'll try to post more often.

Hi Deborah,
Try not to get discouraged, you are doing great! Most everyone start****ting major plateaus around month 3-5, it will pick back up and you will be at your goal in no time! I think I went about six weeks without losing one pound, but I lost inches. Keep measuring and you will see a difference. Try hard to get that protein and water in, it is very important. I did not have a problem at Thanksgiving either, I was worried that I would. I just got a spoonful of every item I liked and ate what I could of it and was very happy. I even had two very small pieces of dessert and savored the flavor. It was just great to see all of my family, most I have not seen since last Thanksgiving and they were all very supportive of my decision and very happy to see me so healthy and happy. I past my nine month mark this week and am very pleased with my outcome. I am down 113 pounds, from 240 to 127 pounds, from a size 20/22 to a size 4. I am ready to quit losing and start maintaining now. I just have to figure out how to do that now. Keep up the good work and keep the faith! Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the encouraging words, Rhonda. Congratulations on your loss. You've done so well!! I look forward to getting down there one day myself. I guess I've tried to lose so many times and failed that I'm getting a little paranoid that this, too, will fail. I know it won't, though, because God brought me to this. I just have to remember that.
God bless you,
Deborah

Don't be discouraged! You body has to rest and catch up. This is why I am a fan of only wieghing monthly on your anniversary date. You were a brave soul to try the rice!!! It hurts unless it's cooked to a mush! I find the more I drink, the more I lose and I get so tired of drinking the same things very, very quickly. To get yourself in the holiday mood, I found some splenda sweetened drinks - cranberry flavor- at Fred's. They are about 16 ounces and are really good. (3 for a $) Not carbonated either! And I am not a fan of cranberry, but I drank 2 yesterday! Em who LOVES cranberries didn't like the drink too much. Try a variety of different flavors to keep yourself interested in drinking!

Hi Deborah... Its about time for you to have a little plateau...I know you dont think it but 62 pounds in less than 3 monthes is fantastic...
Dont sweat it. I was fresh out from surgery last Thanksgiving and it was hard but you did okay with what you ate. I have a hard time with rice so its not a big deal for me but I do miss it on occassion...esp yesterday when I cooked a roast and didnt have anything to put the gravy on. Haha... That shrimp is pretty good for you. I craved shrimp about that time out.
You are doing really well.. keep us updated.
