Hey Lori, Been missing you around here ! I'm doing lots better. Thank God. Do I still regret it ? Yes. I still wouldn't recomend this surgery to anyone. I honestly feel like that if I had of taken half the effort I put into having this surgery towards trying to lose weight, I would have been so much better off. I would have lost weight. With all the changes that I am having to deal with now & the rules I have to follow, there isn't really any difference in this or a weight loss program. Before surgery I heard Oprah say that... "Diets don't work, because you don't stick to them". I got mad when I heard that. But now I see what she was saying & what she was saying was the truth. I know that isn't what others around here want to hear but it is the truth. I know that people get to a point to where they are not able to walk or exercise to lose weight, but those who can still do all those things, need to get off their duff & do it. I can say that, because I was one of them. Today at my Mamaws Christmas party, I had to watch everything & ask a gazillion questions about everything. Do you know how aggravating that is ? I have to make sure there isn't any sugar in anything I eat. If it is & I eat it, I get really sick. I didn't get any of my daughters birthday cake. Heck, I couldn't even cut it or serve it out of fear of getting icing on my fingers & licking it off of them out of habit. I don't want anyone to set their soda's around me cause I'm scared I'll take a sip not thinking about it. Some people may say, "Well after a while your sugar eating tolerance will change". Really ? I don't believe them. They have no proof. They may think these things are petty problems, but to me they are large problems. Because now days, people put sugar in EVERYTHING !!! I hope that if you still want to have this surgery & you go for it, that you have NO problems or regrets afterwards. But PLEASE make sure that you are fully aware of what your doing. The effort your gonna have to put into your life after surgery is more than you would put into going on a diet & exercising. I kid you not. And at least with the dieting, you can still treat yourself to a treat every now & then. After surgery, you could be screwed for a long time. Depending on how long you live. But what ever you do, I'll back you in that decision. I'll always be in your corner. I may scratch my head & say your crazy, but I'll be there for you. I would love to get together with you sometimes. We will have to make plans after the holidays for us to get together. I won't eat in public just yet tho. I'm still really good at throwing everything up when I least expect it !!! Tammy
