Happy Thanksgiving

We got this from Wesley (EAP).. I kinda liked it. Gonna try to put it to use! ******************************* THE HOLIDAYS: Leave yesteryear in the past and look toward the future! Remember all that old emotional baggage - who I like, who I don't like, what she/he did to me in the past etc. etc.? Leave that 'psychological baggage' that we carry around with us and hold onto so dearly out in the cold this year! What about a little self-talk Thanksgiving morning? Like, I'm going to keep my cool and present a new me. Even if no one else does, I'm going to be accepting and non-judgmental. I'm going to give everyone a second chance and pretend that we are all doing the very best that we can. After all, that's what I want everyone to think about me. And guess what? We are all doing the very best that we can given the constraints within which each of us functions. While you're at it, skip 'the good ole days' bit too. Live in the present. Yes, this year is much different from last year if you live around here! Some people don't even have homes anymore! Each season and each year is different and can be enjoyed in its own way. SO here's wishing you a joyous Thanksgiving.

Great ideas! I am the world's worst about talking about the good ole days. I am going to try my best this season to be less judgmental and live in the present. Lord knows I am way to negative but I am trying to work on it. Thanks for sharing! Hope your Thanksgiving Feast goes great. Sonya Sumrall

That is some good words of wisdom for us all. I needed that to take with me to Alabama LOL. I do wish I was going to be here to see you and everyone else on Thanksgiving, but I will be home Thursday night or Friday morning. So, let's get together one day this weekend. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving. Love ya, Melissa

I thought this was funny--- I was looking at photos in the before and after and some how I ended up on someones profile and she had like 400 pictures or so and one of the pictures was of her butt (preop) and you know how it is - big and bubbly - shelf like... anyway - her caption said "What ya gonna do with all that ass- all that ass - inside those jeans"... I laughed my butt off.. Ya know.. My Humps.. Haha.. I am gonna miss you-- I hope yall have fun though! Christine

I made her sit and I cooked it all except for the gravy (she did that) and the squash dressing (Aunt Jeanette). Smoochies Arlies PS I don't hold grudges, I just "nice" the folks that bug me to death!!!!!! But mostly I DO love everybody.....
