Thanksgiving Roll-Call!
Hi everyone just checking in to say what's up. To all who have had surgery thus far isn't it a blessing. To all who's waiting, your blessing is coming just hold on.
**I am writting to ask "What going on in your neck of the woods for Thanksgiving?". I will start by telling of my adventure first.
****My family and I are starting our Thanksgiving holiday off early. This Friday the 18th we will be traveling to Jackson MS for the big game between Jackson St. and Alcorn St. satuaday of which we will stay the whole week-end and from there to Atlanta for the week of Thanksgiving. We will be staying in a resort but we are celebrating Thanksgiving with one of my sisters and her family. We have sort of made this an tradition for the last 3 years in Atlanta with her because she is a single parent raising two boys on her own and she generally have to work that wonderful day after Thanksgiving that we all love sooo much. It brings joy and happiness to her and family and it gives her something special to look farward too each year. She doesn't know it but it gives us something to do also and we enjoy it even more. Plus it gives my mom a short vacation throughout the year .
So what's happening in your neck of the woods
Ya!!!!
You are so right. Yesterday was my one year anniversary from surgery and I am so thankful I was able to have it and everything go so well.
For Thanksgiving our plans are as follows on Thanksgiving morning we are going to Wayne's uncles in Hattiesburg to have lunch with them, then we are going to my dads for supper where all my nieces and nephew will be there and my sister. Then Friday morning we are getting up to hit the Wal-mart sale and then Cheryl (one of my friends), Wayne & I are going to Birmingham to shop and staying Friday night. I hope I can handle it.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Well my 18 year old will be hunting and my married daughter has her own plans. We have never had a big Thnksgiving because of the hunting.
Me, Tommy, and the 2 youngest are starting out at the nursing home to see his mom. She is 80 and we found out last week she has pancreas cancer. She has no quality of life and hasn't known us for years. She is not in pain right now but they don't look for it to be like that very much longer. Just pray for us.
Then for lunch I don't know.
That afternoon we are going to my mom's at Seminary for supper and fellowship with my brother and family and friends over from Ireland.
The kids are going to my parents mon and tues for a little holiday and me and Tommy are going to do Something! What that is I don't know. We are going to get away though.
Talk to you gals and guys later.
Hey Becky if you read this tell us how you are feeling these days. Hope everything is smooth sailing.

Hey Sandra,
Sounds like you are going to have a busy Thanksgiving holiday.
This year I am going to stay at home and not go my relatives house. I am gonna try the whole cooking myself and see how that goes. My sister and her family and/or a friend of mine and her man may join us.
I am open to good recipes for cornbread dressing (I dont even know how to make the cornbread)... haha...
Menu plans --tell me what I am missing:
Turkey
Ham
Potato Salad
Dressing
Blackeyed Peas
Corn on the cob
Rice and Gravy
Fruit Salad
Pecan Pie for everyone but me and some sort of sugar free something for me.. Who has the banana pudding recipe?
I think that is plenty. I think that will be good but it seems like I am missing something traditionally eaten at Thanksgiving and I dont mean that nasty purple stuff - cranberry stuff.. Eeek -- there will be none of that.
Well there's my answer no cranberry sauce no me ha ha ha.
Just picking at you. I have that Banana pudding recipe, I also
done a lemon pie this week it was good and sf. I did a sf pecan pie
last year at Christmas and it was pretty good if you like pecan pie.
I will get them together and post for you. I do dressing and have since
I was 15. Of course I think it is pretty good. If you don't get a recipe
let me know and I'll try to put on together ( I do it by adding what I think).

Well, tomorrow we are having our Thanksgiving luncheon at my husbands office. We do this every year, everyone brings a dish and the squadron cooks fried turkeys. It is fun. I am taking deviled eggs this year.
Then on Tuesday afternoon we will leave and head to Valdosta GA to my parents house and spend Tuesday night, Wednesday night with them and have Thanksgiving lunch with my family and after lunch we will leave and drive up to Atlanta to his mom's house. We will have Thanksgiving dinner with her, and hit all the sales in Atlanta on Friday. We will head back to Biloxi on Saturday so that we can be rested and ready for work on Monday. (Not to mention a few days with my MIL is enough)... Hopefully I will get to see my beautiful 1 yr old niece while we are in Atlanta.
I hope everyone has a great holiday!
