RECENT HAPPENINGS

Well guys, I haven't posted in quite some time. Hmmmmm wonder why??? Well at a friend's insistence, I joined E-Harmony. And yep you guessed it, I met someone. I was afraid to do it at first but I thought heck if I am normal, maybe there are other normal people out there. I started right off the bat with current pics of me. I figured if he doesn't like how I look, then too bad --- so sad.... I don't want him anyway. I met this wonderful man who lives in Georgia. About 5 hours from me. He is a correctional officer for the past 15 years and works a lot with the prisoner details at their local animal shelter. Well I also do a lot of work with the animals here in MS. So it sounded like a perfect start to me. Long story short, we have been talking 2 months. On the 1st month anniversary of us talking, he sent a HUGE bouguet of long stemmed pink roses to my office. I ALMOST FAINTED, AWWWWW HOW SWEET. One of the first things that attracted me to him other than his love of animals is his character. He was in a 7 year relationship with a woman who had a 6 month old baby when they first met. The baby is now 10 and he stills cares for her and loves her as his own. How many men would do that???? I can count numerous men who won't even take care of their own biological children. Well I took Kimberly Shivers with me to meet him, (ya gotta be careful ya know). And it was FABULOUS. He tells me I am beautiful all the time (he must need glasses). Kimberly said I need to learn to take compliments, but as well all know with our overweight pasts, that is hard to do. We have been together once more since that time, we talk 6-8 times each day and can't stand being apart. Guess ya can tell I am a bit smitten hahaha Sue 273/261/185/150 P.S. Sue, I'm so happy for you finding a special someone. That is so wonderful. And for him to be such a great person with kids that are not even his is wonderful & rare !!! I hope that you have many wonderful events with this new man in your life. Tammy

Thanks for the prayers Sue. They really mean a lot to me !!! I have been doing great here lately. Thank God !!! Except for Saturdays it seems like. I know that it is Satan trying his best to keep me out of church & messing with my trying do what is right & not what seems right at the time. Seems like every Saturday I have a kidney stone try to pass & it always passes on Sunday morning. Not that it matters, I take my Demarol & go right on to church anyways. You mean he is still friends with his ex ? That is a great quality in a person !!! Hang onto him for dear life !!! And a man that loves animals also.... has to be a very special person ! Tammy

Congrats on meeting this new man. I met my husband online and we have been married now for almost 6 years. We have our problems, as all couples do. But all and all, I think we have a good marriage. I know more about him then I did my ex and we were married for more than 9 years. Just keep the trust between the two of you and it will take you a long ways.
