Hey, I really need encouragement to drink also. I really like water, I just forget to keep it handy, I think that is part of my problem these days too. Gaining weight a little too (got about 30+ pounds to lose, but working on it). You guys are great. D.

Part of my problem is keeping it handy, too. I forget to drink when I am busy at work and stuff. If I just was a little more organized, I would drink more. I have got to work on that. Melissa

SOOO, each of our mini goal tomorrow is to keep a bottle of water handy, on desk, etc....If I do that, I usually get in all the water I need. The bottle I have holds half the water I need for the day (I think). So my goal is to drink it by noon, fill it up again and drink it by night....So, you get with it too. Don't want ya dryin up and blowin away....Hugs, D.

You know I am horrible about drinking too. I have been sick for about a week now. Throwing up, diarrea, just feeling like pure crap. I have not been to work since last Wednesday. I finally got in to see the doctor today and he said I must have a virus. He gave me some medicine for nausea and for diarrea. So hopefully I will be over it soon. I have got to increase my liquid intake too, and being sick on top of not drinking, I am sure that I am dehydrated. The doctor actually told me today to drink some gatorade even if I have to water it down. Of course I have not done that yet, but I have drank two big bottles of water. I hope your hands get better soon. I keep myself lotioned up because my skin is always dry. This time of year, it will get worse. I use Jergens with vitamin E with Aloe. Talk to you soon! Rhonda

Hey Rhonda. I got a virus during the first year of surgery, and gatoraid went down fine (only when I was sick) and actually made me feel better. BUT, I do not have just a big problem with sugar either, now or then. A virus can really run you down (as I am sure you know today.) Hope you feel better soon.

There is a virus going around. Stephens had it first. Then Catherine and then John's mom. So far, John and I have managed not to get it. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Make sure to get liquids in while you are sick as we can dehydrate so easy. I hope you feel better soon. Melissa

You just HAVE TO HAVE a parafin wax bath for your hands and feet. I wish I lived closer I would let you try mine.. Ask at the nail salon or hair salon. (Sometimes they let you use them free when you get other services. They are so relaxing. I love to dip my hands in the wax and let them moisturize. You can probably find them at Wal-mart for $15-40 in the pharmacy or gift aisle. You must try it ---------men like to use them to. It was a big joke w/ some of the coaches here at school who gave them to their wives for Christmas but loved them theirselves. glenda

I have trouble drinking too, but find if I drink alot, I lose alot more. I use sugar-free kool-aid and I mix up a gallon at a time using 1 sugar-free packet and one packet that you are supposed to add sugar to, but I don't add sugar. With just the sugar-free, it is too sweet and it burns my tummy sometimes, but with the sugar-free and the add sugar packet, it works perfectly! Even Jim likes it! I get so tired of drinking, but I have to keep telling myself it makes the pounds fall off and I feel so much better. As for your dryness, what kind of soap do you bath with? How often do you wash your hands and with what? DO NOT USE THE WATERLESS antibacterial stuff - it dries you out quick - as does any antibacterial soap!!!! I use lotion by the ton and my skin absorbs it! I prolly gain 10 pounds per grease-up session! My feet are my biggest problem with the dryness. I put a ton of lotion on them and don't rub it all in - put on my socks and let them marinate. It helps alot! Grease up those hands and wear socks over your hands to bed. It will help alot! I too use the little pots from Bath & Body works. I love the cotton....but any good greasey lotion will work - even plain ole vaseline........ Smoochies Arlies
