Dry Skin
Well, guys, with the cold weather came really dry skin for me. My skin is always dryer in the winter but my hands look terrible. So I called and asked about it. Your skin gets dryer in the winter because of the colder air and of course the decrease of humidity in the air. Mine is so bad so quick because on top of the weather related dryness I am probably on the dehydrated side. Not having enough hydration in the body coupled with weather changes can wreak havoc on the skin. My hands are in really sad shape. So, now I guess I really have to work harder on getting my liquids in.
I am posting here because I really need you all to think about me because I have a really hard time getting my water in or really any liquids for that matter. I do not really care for water too much, and I am honestly never thirsty. Plus, I still have to sip small sips to avoid getting a tummy ache or feeling sick. Never have gotten back into normal swallows of anything.
Hubby bought some really good stuff at the mall for me the other day that has helped me immensely. It is the sea salts with oil followed by the shea butter cream. I forget the brand. I will have to look when I get home. So, if any of you are experiencing extra dry skin right now, maybe you should drink more water and up that hydration level. I know I stay on the dehydrated side. I have ever since surgery. But now I have to work on that for my skin's sake. The skin on my thumbs had actually cracked and bled in places. But doing much better now thanks to hubby's dicovery at the mall. He is so sweet. He is always thinking of me and what I need. Bless his heart.

Lets get to drinking some water, okay? We all need to do it and we dont need you dehydrated or dry skinned. That can be painful. It is a pain in the butt for me too to drink water but I really need it and so do YOU!
I have some of that Oil of Olay hydrating lotion. It is really good. It might help a little bit. I will let you try it tonight.
Send John to the mall more often. He needs to replace all of your silverware and dishes--even your pots and pans-- this works for me cause I get the old ones.. HAHAHAHA...

When John goes to the mall, you never know what he will come back with. He replaced all the towels and you got the old ones which worked out good for you moving and all. It is so funny you mentioned pots and pans. John just said the other day, we need to get rid of these old pots and pans and replace it all with Circulon (sp) since you cook and bake so much. He has bought me some of their cookware already, and I love it and mostly just use that when I cook because cleaning it is a snap. So you never know. Pots and pans may be in your future LOL. He is so funny. He loves to buy me surprises, and I must say I love getting them. He gets me good prizes.
This weekend will be here before you know it. I think I am as excited as you are. Woo hoo!

Arlies Bless your heart I hate dry skin. My feet is what gets so bad. I use the body creme from Bath & Body Works. My hands get dry around my fingernails but that is usually it. I was wondering if you and Christine drank much water cause I noticed ya'll didn't bring any to the motel the other weekend. Girl that is just about all I drink. Every now and then I will drink or sip on a Diet Sierra Mist but other than that it is water for me. I am so glad cause I know it helps alot. Now I know it helps my skin too. Thanks for the info you are so good at sharing all that good stuff with us. I don't know what we would do without you.
