Wanting to get the lap band

I was just woundering if any one has the lap band or has anyone used Dr. William Avara at South MS Surgical Weight loss Center. I have a consult set up with him, just wanted some feed back.

I do not know much about their program. My wife used Dr Salameh in Jackson for her lap band. They have a very good program and we were very happy. John 350/210/?

Hey Amy! I have heard good things about Dr. Avara. And I have not been a fan of the lap band until I heard a presentation that the Covington, LA group put on comparing all the different types of surgery. What they said made alot of sense! Of course since I was gastric bypass, that's still the way I prefer!!! Please keep us posted on your journey and let us know how it goes! HI AMY I DIDNT HAVE LAP BAND I DID HAVE LAP WLS .. I SEE DR AVARA THIS WEEK FOR THE FIRST TIME HE WILL BE MY NEW DR. I HAD ONE OF THE BEST DR'S SO ITS KIND OF A SAD THING .
