Hello Fellow Mississippians !! It's so good to be back !! I was gone too long, I can tell, I leave for a few weeks and the board hits the fan. Geez. Anyways, I wanted to inform everone that I'm still alive and doing okay. The gallbladder surgery wasn't all that bad, the lap operation was fairly quick. 45 minutes to be exact. My surgeon ( what a guy !! ) got me in and out the same day and I was up walking within an hour after surgery. They made me eat and use the bathroom before they let me leave, but I got two vicodins just before we left. I was actually admitted a total of about six hours total. For the two hour drive to New Iberia , LA where our family lives ( they wouldn't let me go home, they INSISTED I would stay to recoup there! how sweet !! )I think I was totally out of it , at least I don't remember much of that trip at all hehehe The second day was the hardest. The incisions from the lap instruments weren't hurting at all but my stomach muscles were unbelievably sore. Like I wa**** in the stomach repeatedly with a baseball bat or something. The anesthesia also made me very very nauseated. I didn't eat at all the first two days, till that yucky nausea stuff wore off. I have no issues with any foods. They say eat low fat and all, but I never eat fatty anyways, so nothing I have eaten has upset me and I feel just fine. The three holes on top have already healed up. The big one by the belly button is still draining, it's nasty. I clean it with peroxide and wash in the shower with antibacterial dial, it's not nasty, its like clear yellow pinkish fluid, so it's not infected but it bothers me a lot to have it still oozing. I'm supposed to go back to work next week and I refuse having to go back with a diaper strapped to my belly LOL Anyways, I wanted to thank you all guys for the well-wishes and thinking about me during surgery. I'm glad to be back now and hopefully I can get over my latest bout with a root canal today pretty quickly. I've gotta go back Friday and get it filled and will be on the way to the BASH with Sara early Saturday, so I'm looking forward to seeing you all there !!! Be good and take care, missed u guys and Thanks for all you guys do! ~Andie~

Hope your belly heals soon....Hope to meet you at the bash (unless I end up having to work).... DeAnna.

Hey, actually, I live in the reservoir area and do medical transcription at home. But I work for a large company (M.D. Anderson Cancer Center) and it is full-time. Two of my children have kept me busy this week: my oldest, age 21, had a baby 3 weeks ago but had to go to the hospital Sunday night with fever of 103 with Tylenol, and found she had a staph infection (she had a C-section and is breastfeeding). So I have had her two-year-old. Also, my 19-year-old son plays college football and had a shoulder injury (practice), dislocated with broken growth plate and had surgery on this yesterday...Needless to say, I am WAY behind on my production. I also have a 9 y/o and a 6 y/o (I started early, just turned 40).

Oh wow.. you sound like you have your hands full !!! Kids and grandkids and growth plate injuries.. sheesh!! Hope that staph infection is clearing up! Maybe you can make it Saturday, I have a 6 yr old and I'm sure she'd love to play with yours. I just brought her back from Louisiana with me, she's been in school there the last seven weeks and she's finally back and attending her regular Elementary school here in Vancleave < whew > I know all about starting young.. I have a 16 yr old myself, and I'm 36. My middle one is 12 and then we got the 6 yr old. Stress Stress Stress. The two older ones live with their dad though, they chose not to go travelling while my hubby is in the Navy. In a way I'm gonna hate leaving MS when hubby gets transferred. The last two yrs we were going home at least once a month if not twice, and getting the girls every summer. Moving means seeing a lot less of them, that sux. I so enjoyed being part of their lives still, school and social functions. I understand their point though not wanting to move around having to give up your friends every two yrs. Anyways.. enough of the yakking about me. I hope you can make it Saturday !!!!!!!!!

Hi Arlies !! I really can't wait to see YOU again.. I know you're losing weight so quickly and you already looked so good in June, I bet you're getting to where I won't recognize you soon !!! So Jim is starting to wear down on the going-places-seeing-us huh? I can't blame him, my hubby always lets me go to stuff alone, he rather stays home with the kids ( that's ok with me too ) but at this time mine is as usual outside of state. He's in Jacksonville, they're de-comming the ship and we have no clue where we're gonna be going anyways, so I'm just hanging out in Mississippi waiting and enjoying the good company of you guys !!! See you Saturday!! ~Andie~

Hey Kimberly ! I hope you can make it to the bash. I had said that I wouldn't go a while back because I just never get time off on days that i really needed, the fact of being out of work though makes it possible and I will be there with bells on... well , not really... haven't got a clue where to find those christmasey bells- head decorations so I'm gonna pass LOL Please do try to come. It's so important for all of us to get together and meet. I know you lost a lot of weight already, and I can't wait to see you so I can compliment you on it !!!! {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} ~Andie~
