the "lurker" is back!...lol
Hi everybody!...been a while since i've posted but i do "lurk" quite often..lol....just wanted to post and tell ya'll that as we speak, my records are being transferred to Vicksburg!...i am gonna use Dr. Suddereth there...i've heard great things about him.....Carla, his bariatric nurse is so nice...she was gonna call my insurance today (just talked to her yesterday) and find out the scoop...she's already getting the ball rolling!...i just got so tired of everything taking so long through UMC in Jackson....and they don't let you know anything!.....not to mention some bad stuff i've been hearing about the hospital staff after surgery...(especially after Tammy's problems).....but, i'd had several others to tell me the same thing....so, i'm hoping things will move faster now....it's been a year since i started this journey....i'll keep in touch....and remember, you never know who's "lurking" in the shadows!...rofl
Hey, good going...it took me about a year to get everything done also. Got a friend who had surgery with that doc in Vicksburg about three weeks ago, Deloris, and she is doing great, just a little emotional at times, but from what I heard his staff is wonderful, specially that Carla person. Feel free to lurk anytime, ya still learn lots from these folks, and post when you can.
Hi DeAnna!...thanks for letting me know about your friend and how well she's done after using Dr. Suddereth...that is so good to know.....that's the kind of thing you like to hear....i've heard so much gloom and doom in the last 4-5 months....Carla is wonderful.....i've talked to her more in the last few days than i did with the folks at UMC the whole last year!.....I know they are so busy at UMC though.....and i still love Dr. Salemeh....but, i feel like i've done the right thing....thanks again......

I have been approved but I don't know about going to UMC to have the surgery. I have been dealing with Sandra and it is not going very well. I need a surgen who is in my approval are for the insurance thing. I will go to UMC if I can get my surgery done quicker. Now they are talking about all kinds of stuff to do for pre-op stuff.

I am so sorry that things to be moving soooooooo slow or not at all at the moment for you with Dr Cleveland. They are so busy and they are really trying to get everyone where they need to be as quick as they can on their journey. They just moved to a new location and that took some time and slowed them way down. Last monday we had a seminar here in Meridian with Mr Birds that is over the Baractric Surgery at CMMC. He was filling in for Adam on doing the seminar. Jeannie was there. He explained it like this.. they are so busy trying to get everyone approved and set up for surgery. And when people call them (not sayin this is you, but I use to do this before my surgery) they are on the phone getting asked by patients if they have heard anything from the ins. com. other drs (tests) etc. And while each call comes in, that puts everyone on hold cause no one there has time to talk to ins. co, other drs, etc. It really slows them down. I must say that I would much rather wait this out if you possible can, then to go to UMC after what all has been said about UMC. I am not trying to defend Dr C. Just wanting to let you know how the director of the WLS explained things to the ones that are checking into having the WLS. He also said that Jeannie wants the patient (you) to have surgery just as bad as you want it, and loves to call people and tell them that they are approved and ready for surgery. But with the tons of calls coming in, it slows everyone & everything down.
