Consignment shops
I found a really great consignment shop today--I've found a few in the jackson area, but the quality and/or selection was somewhat lacking. This one is off hwy 25/lakeland behind the brookshire's. It's called Sequels consignment boutique. Talk about high quality stuff...there were brands I'd never heard of. 
i.e. not walmart, target or lane bryant which is what makes up most of my wardrobe. I found some nice sunday dresses, and a couple of lounge-type wear for vacation. I also got a couple of purses (got a name brand sak purse with tags still on it for $8). It's a small shop, but she said she turned over merchandise quickly and was constantly getting stuff in. I told her I was excited to be buying smaller clothes, and told her about my surgery a few minutes into our conversation. She laughed and said I was the 3rd customer she'd had in today who confessed to having surgery and was thrilled to be buying new clothes. small world, eh?
anyway...i have alot of size 24/26 clothes if anyone wants them. I'm not sure about bringing them to the swap in July since most ppl are much smaller than that...but I'd be happy for anyone who needs them to have them...otherwise I'll probably just donate them to my church clothing closet.
I also have several pair of size 11 shoes if anyone needs some shoes. They aren't so worn, but I just don't like them and want some new ones.

I have to work both days--but if you're here in the evening, let me know. I usually get off between 5 and 6pm. If there's somewhere in between you'd like to meet, let me know that, too. (or If Arlies doesn't mind being the go-between, I could take them to her house tomorrow night and you could get them from her thursday). Tomorrow evening is kinda bad because my little boy's school program is at 6pm...so by the time i get off work, i'll have to go straight there.
I'd love for you to have the clothes--any or all that you want. I have a big box of them. If it doesn't work out tomorrow or thursday, I could meet you part-way (I can't remember exactly where you live)...but i don't mind. just let me know.

How about one afternoon next week. I will try and plan my sleeping around it. That way I can gather them all together and be ready. I am so proud of you, You are doing fabulous. I might ask a girlfriend of mine to bring them to Philidelpha for me and you can get them from her. She works there. I will let you know more later this week. or over the weekend.

I can't drive yet, and I live in Florence, MS. But I have one or two brand spankin' new pair of pants that are a 24. Actually I think that one may be in the cleaners right now. My brain is still a little fuzzy even though I haven't had any pain meds since Friday. I just had surgery on 5/16. I was a 24 going into surgery. You may want to wait till your next visit, so I can get those other pants out of the cleaners and get a little more organized. Please e-mail me. You are welcome to them.
