I know gang, I haven't been posting.I dont' really have an excuse. I do read the board from time to time. I can't wait to see all of you at the fall bash! I live for these get together's. Just wish we had t-shirts or sweat shirts for it. I am down -192 lbs so far. It's a slow go right now. I am doing good tho. Can't wait until I get this nasty yukey excess skin removed. I keep telling myself I did this surgery for my health and not my looks. But it's so hard when I look in the mirror.. It's very depressing. I hope that all the gang is doing good out there. Love ya all Jo 444/414/252/-192 27 to goal of 225

Hi Jo...I have been curious where you have been. Seems like all the original posters here have slowly drifted away... Kinda scary. Anyway... I know how you feel about the excess skin --- will we ever feel truly normal? I will always feel fat as long as I have that skin there to remind me. You are doing really great. You are almost at goal! Look out!!! See yall at the bash!

Been missing you. Take it easy on the next step. From experience I can tell you it is all a process. Get one thing fixed and then another area looks worse. As most of you know I had the hernia/ pannis/breast lift thing done. This was too much at one time in hindsight. It was a worse recovery to have a 3 IN ONE surgery. Be informed. Talk to others and by all means make sure you and the surgeon are on the same page. If you have it done at a teaching hospital different residents are working on different sides of your body. Some times "revisions" must be done to even the two sides. It was an emotional journey for me. I did not think the body change would affect me. I did grieve a while because I could not find a small enough bra to fit. Once you have been a 52 DD. It's a shock to just wear a camisole under your shirt because you can't find a bra that fits YOUR FLAT CHEST. (I did not have much breast tissue once the excess skin was removed) I have now found a padded bra that works and have bought several. I am much more satisfied now. I do miss my floppy belly and I'M GLAD ITS GONE. No more picking it up to wash, wipe, or etc. glenda Rny 02-02-04 was 391 now 140
