Hey girl!
You came to the right place. Each and everyone of us here know exactly what you should do - even tho we may not agree what that is!!!!
You need to start researching docs. Dr. King & company up in Oxford is a good choice. YOu are fairly close to Ala and there may be choices there too, so check them. There is a place on this site where you can click on "Bariatric Surgeons" and read the info on the difference docs and find out what types of insurance they accept. Good luck and keep us posted and let us know every step of the way!

Absolutely, call Dr. King's in Oxford, or if you can find a Bariactric doc closer, just call and ask the staff....I drove to Dr. King from Jackson, MS, about 3 hours or so, but well worth it. They are great. Should not be that far for you, 1.5 hours? His insurance coordinator is Becky, and she can give you lots of information over the phone, and help you get qualified before you ever have to make the drive. (I'm only assuming they take Medicaid). Her number is 662-513-9671, and the clinic number is 662-234-3303.
Good luck and by all means ask any questions you have, this is a great support board.
