HI EVERYONE, I HAVE FINALLY GOT ON DR. SALAMEH'S LIST, THEY EVEN ASKED ME TO HAVE MY DR. SEND THEM MY MEDICAL RECORDS, WHICH THEY DID. TODAY SARAH TOLD ME I SHOULD GIVE VOC REHAB A CALL. THEY INFORMED ME THEY WERE NOT PAYING FOR THIS RIGHT NOW. ALL I HAVE DONE IS CRY, IT WAS MY ONLY HOPE. I GUESS TAMMY WAS THE LAST ONE THEY HELPED. THE WAY THINGS HAVE GONE FOR ME, I AM NOT SURPRISED. SO THERE YOU GO. THANKS FOR READING THIS.

Brenda, Girl, I cried an ocean about 2 weeks ago! I know how devastated you feel. I felt all the hopes of being smaller was gone. No dreams of a tucked in tee shirt in blue jeans that made my husband ban me from leaving the house. My hopes had gotten so high! That's when I was turned down on financing because of bad credit from about 5 years ago. Now, I am regrouped and looking at this only slightly different. Thankfully, all my past bad credit will be off my record in 2 years. And, my husband and I are doing Dave Ramsey's FPU and are budgetng to be debt free in 18 months. So, maybe I won't have to finance at all. I have been watching the Biggest Loser and that will pep me up. I get encouragement from them. However, it does not help that I am bigger than those girls. I am 280. Anyway, I have started doing about a mile every few days. This week I will do 1 mile everyday. Next week, I will do more. I remind myself that a year ago I was 50 pounds smaller and I will get back!!! Do you have a memory of something like that? A dress you wore? Or jeans you had? Just hang on!!!! We are! If you need to vent ---- GO FOR IT!!!! Babette

THANK YOU BABETTE, I DON'T KNOW YOUR AGE, BUT I JUST TURNED 53 LAST WEEK. BY THE TIME I WOULD BE FINANCIALLY ABLE TO PAY, I WOULD MOST LIKELY JUST NEED FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS, AND I HAVE THAT ALREADY. JUST A LITTLE FUN THERE. ANYWAY, MY JOB IS ON THE OUTSIDE, PRETTY HARD LABOR MOSTLY. I HAVE DONE A LOT OF WALKING, TREADMILLS, ATKINS DIET, JUST ABOUT ALL OF IT. NOW I WANT THE TOOL (BYPASS) TO HELP ME. WHEN I GET OFF WORK, I CAN BARELY CRAWL TO MY CAR, SO WALKING AT THAT TIME IS OUT OF THE QUESTION. MY FEET ARE SCREAMING BY THEN, BUT I WON'T GIVE UP AND I WISH YOU THE BEST ON YOUR JOURNEY!

Hey Brenda, I am so sorry to hear about that. You have waited along time for this. But I'm sure voc rehab will start back paying for it. Don't give up just yet. I don't see how you do the work you do but I know that the surgery would help you alot. I'm too much of a baby to work outside. I'll keep you in my prayers. Becky

Oh Brenda...hang in there hon. Just because they aren't paying for it right now, doesn't mean EVER! Especially if you do such hard manual work, I'm sure they'll help you. Just may be after the new year. Stay on them, call every week if you have to. Find out WHY they aren't paying for it right now... etc etc. Keep on digging hon. We're here for you! HUGS Kimberly

Brenda, Take it as a sign to stay the hell away from the UMC !!! I know that isn't what your wanting to hear but trust me it is for the best. Even tho a lot of my soreness has gone, I'm still sick off & on a good bit, plus I'm light headed alot. I get sick to my stomach if I have to poo. Thats a great tid bit of info nobody offered up either. I'd still rather be fat, half way healthy, a not sick at every smell. I'm still wishing that I had never of let them butcher on me. I'd rather have a few happy years without being sick to my stomach than many years of feeling sick, barffing, quezzy, & being light headed. I'm having to make myself drink !!! I love eating on ice chips- but that is it. If you will take the effort you'll have to put into making yourself drink & put it into a diet, you'll lose weight. TRUST ME !!! Doll, just set your mind to losing weight the way God meant for you too & do it. You'll be happier in the end. And heck, you won't be sick at the smell of a simple glass of water. You know I love ya & want the best for you, but I'm going to tell you the truth about this surgery & the aftermath. I owe you that much. If you want my gross details, email me. Tammy

HI TAMMY, SORRY YOU ARE FEELING SO BAD. I HOPE YOU IMPROVE SOON. SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE HAVING A ROUGH TIME. I AM SO DISAPOINTED RIGHT NOW, I COULD STILL CRY. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND VOC REHAB, THEY HELP PEOPLE ONE MINUTE AND DON'T THE NEXT. EVEN WITH THE HORROR STORIES I WILL STILL GO AHEAD WITH IT. ME AND THIS C-PAP THING STILL DON'T G-HAW, I HATE HAVING TO TAKE PILLS, HAVING TO PUNCTURE MY FINGER FOR TESTING EVERY MORNING BEFORE COFFEE, NO, I WOULD RATHER TAKE MY CHANCES WITH SURGERY, BUT I GUESS I DON'T HAVE A CHOICE RIGHT NOW. SARAH SAID THEY WOULD PAY THE DOC & ANETHESIOLIGIST(BAD SPELL) BUT THEY WERE NEGOSHIATING(ANOTHER BAD SP) WITH THE HOSP. VOC RE JUST SAID THEY WEREN'T DOING IT RIGHT NOW. YOU BE SURE AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. CALL ME IF YOU NEED ANYTHING.
