THE QUEEN'S MAJOR FAUX PAS!!!!

Well, my face is totally purple with embarrassment! I bout cried when I got home this afternoon cause I was so mortified! Today I was in Walmart at the customer service desk. My friend from across the street at the apartments comes up to the service desk to exchange some jeans. She made several comments about she was there with her friend, Amy. Her phone rang and it was Amy, who the jeans actually belonged to, and she couldn't find the same brand of jeans out in the store. So my friend goes off and helps her find them and comes back and exchanges them. Then I finish my business and turn around and there is my friend and her friend, Amy. My friend said, "Amy, this is my friend Arlies King. She lives right across the street from me." We shook hands and did the nice to meet you stuff. And then we chatted about the movie I'd just seen ("Flightplan" - It was great!!!) and the fact that I'd checked before I left to see if my friend wanted to go with me, but her step-daughter had told me she wasn't home. More chit-chat. Now bear in mind this WHOLE time that my friend has said "my friend, Amy" to me about a gazillion times up to this point. And I know who and where my friend works (she is a Highway Patrolman (Patrolwoman?) and is in Protective Services for a member of the State Government) and her friend Amy looks awful familiar. Then my friend says to Amy, "You know if you ever want to hire anybody, hire Arlies because she is really, really smart." I say, "yeah, hire me!!!! Now, where do you work?" The friend Amy smiles and says ever so very kindly to me, "I am your Lt Governor." Yep, my friend is in Protective Services for Amy Tuck, the Lt Governor and I knew that and I even voted for Amy Tuck. The Queen just about died on the spot.......Amy Tuck was so very gracious and sweet about it, but did I ever feel like an idiot - and still do..... Your very embarrassed Queen Smoochies Arlies

That is just too funny, I would have turned every color but purple. I see people all the time that looks familiar but I'm too afraid to ask. Hey who knows you might have your foot the door to a good job now. Becky
