Bears travels
Ok Ok I know I have been a bad bear and not updated in quiet a while. well here it goes..... Hurricanes suck (scuse my lang) but they do. I have been through alot of em but this one made me rethink alot of things in my life. I have never seen the devestation that I have seen since Katrina. I have traveled all over the united states and seen alot as a truck driver. Nothing prepaired me for what I saw when I went to help my friends do some clean up in Biloxi. All you hear about on tv is the flooded victims in New Orleans which I have seen on tv and it is bad. It is still there though. There is so much of the mississippi gulf coast that is just GONE. Destroyed to the point of unreccognition. I grew up on the coast and there is so much that I saw that looked so wrong and unrecognizable(sp).
Ok enough on that onto my story. I have lost 150 lbs as of last week at my drs office. whcih for me is unreal. I still have about 100 lbs to go but I am well on my way. I cant believe that in six months I have lost a whole person. It just seams so unreal. I am doing so much better in life it is unreal the clothes keep shrinking and the smile keeps growin. but this is my latest news I will try to post more often.
Bear!! You are a champion!!!! I am so proud of everyone of those pounds gone!!!
I lived for several years on the Gulf Coast and was married in Bay St Louis at First Baptist. The devastion really put me into a tailspin of depression, but my friends all made it thru alive! Several lost EVERYTHING!!

The devastation is bad in south MS and Poplarville is do different because of the loss of foliage and the large influx of people. It is wild to travel around our little town now.
Congrats on the weight loss. I know about that growing smile. I have the same thing going on. I weighed yesterday and have lost a total of 108. That is so awesome to me because it makes me weigh 231. THat seems almost normal to me after weighing 338 last April. Love to all of you out there and great going Bear.

Barry,
We do see New Orleans over and Over again on TV.
I have friends who's parents live in Biloxi
And they say the same thing-
So much is just un-recognizable because
The "landmarks" that they used to use to drive around
Are no longer even there.
It'll be quite some time still before life gets back
Close to normal down there.
Now,
Congratulations on your weight loss!
You'll be hitting that "200lbs Gone!" mark
Any day now!
Keep up the great work!
Best Wishes-
Dx
