1st doctor's visit after surgery
Hi everyone!
Hope you are all doing well. I had my first visit with Dr. King yesterday, and it went well. He said I was healing nicely. I have not had any more nausea since the early days after surgery. I have lost 14 lbs. since surgery and 41 lbs. since my highest weight. I am now on a full liquid diet. I never knew FF/SF chocolate pudding and runny mashed potatoes tasted so good!! Ha! I have found about 1/4 c. fills me up.
I can now drive and am going back to work (part-time) on Monday. I am at my own home now. My parents took such good care of me and allowed me to get the rest I needed after surgery, but I am ready to slowly jump back into life again now.
Well, gotta go. Just wanted to say hello.
Deborah
Can't wait!
I feel like I ate too much today. Don't know if I really did, but seems like I'm eating so much more than on the clear liquid diet. Of course, I'm eating every hour instead of every 1/2 hour. I am having a hard time listening to my stomach when it tells me I'm full. (I'm so used to not listening to it.) I probably need to measure every time right now.
Are you still on a special diet still or not?
BTW, my daughter said she enjoyed talking to you on the phone.
Gotta go get some rest. Bye!
Deborah
Remember that your tummy is like a baby, needs to be fed often, and just a little, couple of spoonfuls are enough. You are still very swollen internally and will be able to eat more later on, although I still find that sometimes one spoonful and that is it for me.....
You will be on a restricted diet for many months and adding foods back slowly. Somethings that you loved before you will not be able to eat and others will work fine for you.....
Glad to hear that you are doing good! Go to bed when you feel tired it is the best medicine and you will heal faster!!!!!!
