umc is a bad place

TWO OF THE NURSE AID DID NOT WENT TO HELP ME CLEAN MY BODY SO I TELL THE HEAD PEOPLE ON THEM. THAT PLACE NEED NEW NURSE.

hey Fredrica, I know what you mean. Not just UMC but all hospitals and staffs have their faults. But not minds of course, Forrest General Hospital . Actually I had a wonderful experience during my surgery but I also know that this can not be said of all people. I also had help with me 24/7 until I left because I know how hectic things can get. Sorry to hear about your troubles there and I hope things are better now. Take Care!!!!!

Hey Doll, Thanks for that info. I found out about UMC the hard way. I sure wish that you would have felt like posting it earlier. Like a couple of days before my surgery. I sure hope your better & up and about. Let me hear from you. Tammy

I think we need to band together and whup them nurses or at least make a commotion about the treatment. I knew the staffing at night was usually inadequate, but had no idea that patients were NOT taken care of. It is totally unacceptable and unnecessary for a hospital to operate this way. wow i cant believe my ears about this place. i think everyone that plans on having their at umc should just come see dr whitehead and have theirs at forrest general they are fabulous there and dr whitehead makes sure that it is that way! they are checking on u like every 5 minutes....they almost bug u to death and u have to tell them to go away! they helped me bath off when my husband wasnt there and i didnt have to ask but once. and when i had my post op leak test dr whitehead was in my room waiting on me before i even got back from the test to tell me everything was ok! i highly recommend forrest general and dr whitehead he takes good care of us and he makes sure the hospital does too! i dont like hospitals and i had a great experience there and everyone i have heard from did too.i hate to hear about your experiences they shouldnt treat people that way! crystal 229/144/125

Let me put in a plug for Baptist Hospital in Oxford. I was in ICU for two nights and the staff was wonderful. They helped me with personal hygiene, after BMs, etc. Now, when I got moved to 2nd floor, I had one complaint. When they changed shifts at 7pm, our nurse didn't come visit. I had a problem with nausea and needed to talk to the nurse, and we had a hunt for her. Had an aide and LPN come in, but needed the RN. Otherwise, they were great! So sorry you had a bad time, Fredrica. I was wondering how you were doing. I knew you had surgery not long before mine, but I'm been without internet access and couldn't check on you.
