Update
Hi Everyone!
Just a short note to let you know I haven't dropped off the face of the planet. I am doing good after surgery - so far so good!! Thank God!! They were able to perform it laproscopically. The only negatives have been: (1) I had to spend 3 days in ICU due to too much fluid on my lungs, but boy did they take good care of me. The nurses were wonderful! (2) Had a little nausea from all the antibiotics on Wednesday night. Phenergen?? helped that. (3) Had a little trouble with my nerves the first couple days out of the hospital. Hadn't had my Zoloft in a few days and was over-analyzing every feeling and sound my body made. That's now okay. I am still sore and get tired too easily, but otherwise okay. God is good!
I've been staying with my Mom and Dad (who have no internet access) since surgery, but I am home for the day today. I am going back tonight and will stay until Friday or Saturday, probably. I go back to Dr. King on Thursday. Can't wait to weigh and, hopefully, get a little something else added to my diet. This clear liquid I've been on for almost a month is getting old.
I appreciate all the well wishes I have received. Hope you all are doing good. I'll be posting regularly when I get home for good. For now, I just wanted to give you a little update before I leave today. I've missed you all. Talk to you soon.
Love,
Deborah
Hi Sue,
I hate I missed you!! Thanks for the flowers, even though I didn't get to see them. I know the nurses enjoyed them. That was so sweet of you! I had a cousin who lives in Oxford come see me with flowers, too, after I had left. Ha!
Looking forward to meeting you one of these days. Do you ever go to the support meetings in Oxford?
Deborah
I am glad to hear that you are doing better. I had a rough time too in the beginning but it gets better and better each day! Just be patient and think of your stomach as a newborn. Newborns need tending and a small feeding several times a day, easy does it. I was really ready for something solid too after a liquid diet, yuck!!! A very watery potato soup pureed helped me to feel better. You will know with just a bite or two what will work for you! Just keep trying!
Love,
Cheryl
Hey!!! I am so glad to hear from you! It does get better, I promise! You will be feeling G-R-E-A-T before you know it!!!
I was off my zoloft for a while before surgery and I had the boo-hoo's ALOT!!!! One of my Docs came in the room and I was sobbing my heart out....He said, "Mrs. King, why are you crying?" I said, "I dunnoooooooooooooo." He said, "well, then stop." I said "okay", sniff, sniff and I quit!!!! I love my zoloft!!!
