Coming to visit

Hi, folks-- I'm coming to your fair state to visit my family this week, and I'll be in the Kosciusko area for about 3 weeks. I would like to attend a wls support group meeting if there are any within a reasonable distance. Any help??? Thanks, Lynn N

Not a bad area to visit (kosciusko), my family is from there, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, many many cousins.... Far as I know, the only groups that meet are in Jackson, but that's just what I know. I live in the Reservoir area, and am new to posting and such, but there are some meetings in Jackson, will find out when and post back unless someone else knows. Jackson is about 45 min to hour away from K depending on how close you are to I-55. Welcome to Mississippi.

Thanks, DeAnna; What a hoot--from what I've learned about my geneology, I'm related to about half of Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee! (You and I probably connected on the family tree somewhere!) I had a GGGrandparent who lived up in the northern corner of MS, near Tupelo, and then we spread out from there. I was in Kosiusko (sp?) in 2001, at Christmas, enjoyed it very much. If I don't get to a support group meeting, I'm sure I'll have enough to do to keep from being bored! Lynn N

Too funny. My family names in and around Kosciusko are: Armstrong, Burrell, Bishop, Bardwell, Cain, Pickle, Alford, (probably everybody else there!). I am always amazed just to find somebody else who can just spell it....

I went to a wedding reception once in Kosciusko....does that count? Smoochies Arlies Oh, and we are having a play day/potluck on Oct 29 (Saturday) at Roosevelt State Park in Morton MS.
