I was looking on some of the sub messageboards about food and came across some posts on soda. I have been having a craving for a diet drink but havent dared to do it and I am glad now! The carbination in the drink will stretch your pouch quite a lot. There was a post from a doctor who said that it was a real no no. Another interesting item, a man had eaten something and the opening from the stomach to the bowel became blocked and he was in huge distress, he called the doctor who told him to drink Soda Water (the kind you mix drinks with) he said that he drank a liter, and the plug popped loose and he was able to pass it on through, although he said it hurt, but saved himself an open surgery. Of course, he should have known not to eat stuff that would plug the opening, but I thought this was very valuable information! You can find the posts in the food section..... Just passing it along......

I am feeling pretty good these days. I sometimes still have some problems with my stomach not cooperating but not that often any more. Energy level is increasing, I do believe the stay in ICU really took a lot out of me, and it is still hotter than H--- here. I feel sick when I get too hot. I am looking forward to cool days and then I can walk. The school is supposed to get some exercise equiptment, treadmill and other stuff that the teachers can use too. Our place is too small for any thing like that. But I am still losing slowly but that is ok with me too. YOu are doing great and looking great too Kim!!!!!

Well I thought that too. Not in my wildest dreams would I ever have imagined that I would be living in Hong Kong and have the opportunities to travel..... I could have never imagined that! But fate is funny sometimes and you never know where you will be in 10 or 20 years!!!! I posted my links to my photo albums if you would like to take a look and a few more photos to my profile!!!! Smiles, Cheryl

I am looking forward to the day when I can have some diet soda which is flat! One person posted that they went to a seminar on WLS and they did a demo on soda and why you cannot have it. They put the soda in a baggie and then shook it, the baggie blew up like a balloon! Apparently it substantually stretches the pouch and then you can eat more, I really do not want that! I am so proud of how good you are doing!!! Love ya, Cheryl
