Surgery Date Change

Hi everyone! I got up early this morning and took the Fleet laxative in preparation for my surgery. About 30 minutes later, Dr. King's nurse called and said they would have to move my surgery to Monday, 9/26/05. Why couldn't they have called 30 minutes earlier!! Ha! Anyway, she said that Dr. King had a knee operation recently, and his knee was swollen and painful. He had to get off it for a couple of days. As it turns out, the change is good. (God always knows best.) My mom and my older daughter both said it would work out better for them. It also gives me a few more days to get prepared. I was pretty stressed yesterday trying to finish everything I needed to do. The only down side that I see is that I am having a terrible time staying on the liquid diet. I have nibbled three times today. I know I shouldn't, but I just wanted it so badly. I know I can't do that after I have surgery. When I am physically and financially able, I am going to see a counselor about compulsive eating. I don't want to go through all this just to regain the weight later. With God's help, I WILL NOT do that!!! I've got to stay busy and find an alternative when the craving**** Today, I should have gotten some SlimFast and gone outside or something. Such a GREAT attitude you have!!! Most of us would be laying on the floor whining about the delay. YOU will do fantastic because of your mindset.! Smoochies Arlies
