POLL: A QUESTION OF ETHICS OR MORALS.....

Hey Tams Ya know.. that MEDIA COVERAGE thing irked me a lot too. People I would talk to day after day , work related, when I would tell them " Sir/Ma'am, we are experiencing a very high call volume and due to the landlines being completely out of service and the need for cellular channels for everyone who used to hardly use their cellphone, as well as re-routing issues to emergency personnel, your calls may get busy signals for an extended amount of time, you just have to keep trying to make your call, you WILL eventually get thru " and would tell them that we're located in Biloxi, their standard reply I would get is " oh well at least you're not as hard hit as New Orleans " ..... __________ silence on my end.. this is when I would take a deep breath and remain friendly and drop the subject and return to my "smiling" tone of voice ___________ So I made sure to send everyone from out of state that I have contact with on the internet a nice email with pictures from OUR AREA with the devastation and destruction that clearly SHOWS that we are just as bad off and asked them to share them with all their friends as well, because we're "forgotten".

You to huh ? Makes my Arse chop stove wood as hubby would say. It seems to me that the hurricane did Billion's in improvements. Heck, the city is welfare, looters & gang free !!!! True they're located in other towns & cities. But they're mostly gone from New Orleans. Plus.... How did all the "carring & loving" parents get seperated from their kids ? Seems to me like they should have been watching them a little better. I hate to say it, but most of them are IDIOTS !!! My child would not have left my side. FOR ANY REASON. If we couldn't be on the same bus, we would not go. We would wait for the next bus. But then again... I'm smart enough to know to get out ahead of time. Even if we had to do it by walking out !!! Oh well, It just depends on how you want to look at it I guess. I'm sure that some people think I'm a racist, mean, nasty, hateful, uncarring or whatever for saying these things. I'm none of those things. But others should just admit it, they feel the same way as I do. Because they know that what I've said is true. And the only difference in me & them is.... HI ALL! I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YA'LL. MY SIS IS IN MOBILE AND LETTING HER STEP DAUGHTER STAY IN THEIR RV. NOT PAYING RENT I MIGHT ADD. ANYWAY, IT WAS DAMAGED BY KATRINA AND THE STEPCHILD GOT THE 2,000., I KNOW SHE WON'T REPAIR IT, MY SIS GOT NOTHING. My sister's apartment complex's roof fell in on her apartment, and she lost her belongings including her laptop. which she is still paying for... (yuck!) well anyway she went to some high school last Sunday down in Hattiesburg and with no questions asked the people there wrote her a check for 900.00. Which covered the rest of her computer. If you need it that is what its there for. I wouldn't get it if I didn't need it because its taking away from someone who is in desperate need of it. just my opinoion though. crystal

I AGREE, I DON'T BLAME YOUR SISTER FOR DOING THAT, IF YOU ARE IN NEED, I DON'T BLAME YOU EITHER. BUT MY SIS HAS BEEN HOUSING THIS KID AND HER KIDS FOR A WHILE. I THINK SHE SHOULD FIX THE RV, AT LEAST MAKE IT LIVABLE, BUT SHE REALLY NEEDS HER OWN PLACE, SO MAYBE SHE WILL FIND ONE AND NOT JUST BLOW THE MONEY. As one of clients told me the other day, New Orleans finally solved their homeless problem. It has been reported that some people with their $2000 debit card, went and bought Coach purses, boombox, etc. That is ridiculous!! It is for necessities!! Norma
