2 weeks to go
Hello everyone,
Just had to say hi. This was day 1 of my liquid diet in prep. for surgery 9/23/05. I did okay, but I did cheat a couple of times (Had some sugar cookie dough with my daughter and one bite of spaghetti). Hopefully, tomorrow Iwill be better.
My stomach has been feeling queasy for a month. I had a stomach virus and it has been a little tender ever since. I also think some of it may be nerves. Hope it doesn't affect the surgery. I have another appt. with Dr. King on Tuesday. Guess I'll find out more then.
Please pray that all the details of who will take care of my daughter Hannah and my 2 dogs and 6 cats will fall into place. I know it will, but I just don't want to be a burden on anyone during this process. I will have my older daughter, Connie, my parents, and an aunt to help, as well as some good friends. Also, pray that Hannah won't worry about me too much. Since she lost her dad 5 years ago, she is so aware of death and worries way too much for a 9 year old.
Thanks for listening.
Love to you all,
Deborah

Deborah,
I think that was the scariest part -- thinking about the kids. Hannah has been through alot for her age, and now she's going to get a new mom, with all kinds of energy!! (well, the energy will come PROMISE!
)
BACK AWAY FROM THE COOKIE DOUGH!
Hang in there, it will be over before you know it!
HUGS

Bless Hannah's little heart. My 13 year old was very upset about my having the surgery. She thought that almost everybody died from the surgery and she was flat out against me having it. I sat her down and told her the odds of me living thru the surgery vs the odds without it of living to her high school graduation. It made a BIG difference in how she felt about the surgery and chose to go on to school on the day of surgery rather than come to the hospital or stay home. I will keep you, her, the pups, and the whole shebang in prayer.

Thank y'all so much! You make me feel better. I can't wait to have more energy!!!!!
I do have another prayer request. My mother is having bad pain in her back. She's worried that she won't be able to be there for me. Pray she can get some relief, and that it won't be anything major. (She had a cancerous polyp removed from her colon earlier this year, so anything pain-wise is a little scary.) I've tried to tell her that my older daughter and my aunt will be there. I hope she won't worry too much. I just pray I'll have an easy time and not need too much help. God bless y'all. I appreciate you more than I can say.
