Hey Dx, I'm still on for surgery. I talked to Susan yesterday & everything is still a go. She was trying to move my date up b/c she couldn't get ahold of people. I guess she finally did tho cause I'm still set for Sept 26. !!! WOOOHOOO !!! I still have a date !!! YEAH FOR VEL !!!! WOOOHOOO VEL !!!

Hey DX, A friend called me last night and told me you were asking about me. I have had sooooooooooo many sweet people emailing me and asking about me that I decided to come and be more active again. Thanks to each of you for the sweet sweet emails. DX I am doing FABULOUS..... I am down from a 26 to an 18 and have never felt better in my life. NO problems whatsoever. As far as the hurricane situation. Jackson is pretty much back up to speed expect for missing a few things in the grocery stores. Right now I am working with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary from Utah, they are coordinating the animal rescue in New Orleans. They are pulling around 100 animals from the water each day. They were in desperate need of warehouse space here in Jackson for their supplies for the animals and refrigerated space for the medications for the animals. I got the manager of an old Winn Dixie store that recently closed to allow us to use their walk in coolers for medication storage. They will start shipping in the meds tomorrow. It was just horrible what happened to everyone down there and to lose your family pet or have to leave them behind just adds to their trauma that is why it is so important to try and reunited these families with their pets. Best Friends will microchip all the animals and they will be place in foster homes for at least 3 months. If ANYONE knows anyone that is missing a pet, please forward this info to them. Sue! So glad to see you are ok and doing so well. 26 to 18?!? You ROCK!!!! Thanks for your work with the pets. If you come across a little English Bulldog Or any little dog, that needs a home I'll drive down and adopt him. Our little doggy (a pound rescue mutt, 2 years old when we got him) Is getting on up there in age now. We've been thinking about finding him A little brother to "mentor" in his golden years. My son is dead-set on an English Bulldog, But my wife and I are more interested in Saving another pound puppy. Little is the key because we have no fenced in yard to play in.
