Getting to know you!!!! On Tuesday!!
1. I love to walk outside, hate the treadmill
2. 7wks post op and have lost 30 lbs
3. Akeelah and the Bee, Mission Impossible 3
4. Had the chicken from chicken fajita from Chili's
5. Somewhere in the country on about 5 or 10 acres, wrap around porch, 3bdrm,3bath, large open kitchen, and hurge family room
1. My favorite thing to do for exercise is taebo and the elliptical machine for cardio. But I really enjoy weight training.
2. I am not in the losing part of the journey any longer. I have been in maintenance for over a year now and quite happy. I don't want to lose any more weight. I just want to hold where I am with no regain. So far, so good. It is hard at times with the hectic lifestyle I lead but I have managed thus far.
3. I don't really watch tv or movies much. I stay too busy with my job and kids. But I did watch Derailed recently and I thought it was really good.
4. I love the grilled amberjack with steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and zuccini that I order at Chesterfields here in Hattiesburg. And just recently I tried the confetti chicken at Applebee's and really enjoyed that.
5. I am not too much into fancy living or houses. I wouldn't mind a nice simple house on the lake somewhere where the neighbors are not real close and things are really quiet and peaceful. I would love for it to have a really nice porch where I could sit and listen to the birds and other sounds of nature and relax with my hubby. It would have a pier out over the water so our kids could fish and swim. Simple living is what I crave. I am tired of the hustle and bustle of the corporate world.
Have a good day, Cheryl. Hope you find your dream house in New Orleans. My sister is in New Orleans as we speak having surgery at Oshner's. Just waiting to here from my mother how things went. She has Crohn's Disease and was having surgery concerning that. There is a really good specialists there so we hope things have a good outcome. Keep her in your prayers.
Melissa
I did not know that Staci was having surgery this morning. What is wrong?
Simple living is what I crave too, sista! I want to work part time 8-1 and be at home with my kids when they get home. Have dinner cooked and kitchen cleaned by 7 and kids settled down by 9 and in bed by 11 everynight.
Tell Staci I am thinking of her!
PS... I have Hostel for the next 2 days if you want to borrow it. John wont be able to watch it.
Hey Melissa! Hope that your sister's surgery goes well at Oschner! They took really good care of me when I had surgery. I sure hope that her outcome is that she is more healthy and feels great!
We are still looking for a house. But it takes a lot of guts to spend the kind of money they are asking for a house which flooded! I want to get a house with two master suites so that Mom can come to live with us. She is alone now and her house is getting to be too much for her by herself and she is lonely too. We love New Orleans for a lot of reasons, we met there and the city is just a part of us although we have been gone for a long long time....... We have a house in the country, you cannot see another house for the trees, there is land all around, but the house is too small for us all. So, we have to do something.......
Let us know how things go with you!
Love,
Cheryl
New Orleans is a fun and a really neat place to visit. My best friend got married there two years ago in one of the old Mansions. It was beautiful. We stayed at one of the old Hotels there and that was really interesting reading the history of it and all. New Orleans is a history lesson in itself.
My sister's surgery went well, but she is in lots of pain and her kidney function is having difficulty waking up. She ended up in the emergency room last night getting a catheter. They plan to leave it through today and take it out tomorrow when they remove the packing from the surgery. So, please keep her in your prayers. She isn't able to take care of my baby nephew. I had him last night. He is one so he is a handful. Between me, my mom, and my brother-n-law we will manage to take care of him while she gets better. He loves his Aunt Missy's house. We played outside until it got dark yesterday.
Love,
Melissa
I hope that your sister is doing better today. You have your hands full with a one year old. I have taken my grans several times when they were little like that! I was completely wornout when my daughter came! How did I ever do it as a Mom? That is the reason YOUNG people have kids! LOL! Hang in there and I hope things go well!
