Katrina - What do the children need?
HI neighbors!!
First off I would like to say that I am SO sorry for all that you all have had to endure. I can not even begin to imagine the devastation!
Secondly, I am going to be attending a meeting with my son and the meeting is about a project to help the children that have lost everything and will not be able to attend school for quite a while. Can you please give me some idea what these children may need, besides the obvious things? I want to bring some good quality ideas to the table, something that will really benefit the children there and since you all are right there, you see first hand what these kids need the most. Thank you all and I hope that in our small way here, we can help out abundantly!!
Thinking of you all,
Allison

Heya Allison,
Not sure if you read my post about our ordeal but I will tell you something that kids need... My twins have been awesome not asked for one thing and they lost absolutely everything they had, as well as have been through something no kids should have to go through.... All my kids have mentioned is something to call there own a lovey, something that is theres and no one elses... Kids need clothes, and shoes, and school supplies though most opf the schools are helping with that. Their own blanket or their own pillow.. Books to read, crayons and coloring books. WE went to the dollar store yesterday cant afford much of anything else and bought them a cheap scrap booking kit for a dollar so they could each make a little book about the hurricane to help them talk about it etc. I think anything is more than what they have right now.. Thank you so much in your help for the little victims of Hurricane Katrina.. Its nice to see people going out of their way to help others less fortunate...
If I could hug ya I definitely would
Karen
