News about Biloxi

I don't have a lot to report, but my husband is safe. The base is devastated, our BX and Commissary are flooded among a few of the buildings that we do know about. The area is in very bad shape, it was said that it is worse than when Camille hit. As I learn more info, I will let you know. All the cell towers are out, I have to call Julian base to base from the base here in Valdosta. I hope all my OH family are safe and sound. Love, Rhonda

Hey Rhonda thanks for the news. This is devastating. Worse than Camille, I don't even want to imagine what we're going to come back to.. IF we 're coming back to SOMETHING. I heard on the news that in G'port , I-10 is completely cluttered with things like toys, kitchen sinks etc. That's just unbelievable. Let's count our blessings we're safe. If you hear anything about our housing ( hey.. never know, they might hear something, I'm in Louisiana and all the concentrate here is New Orleans, you hardly hear anything about MS !!! ) Please let me know. Right now every TV station is running reminders not to leave, but to wait for authorities to let us come home. Can't get in touch with anyone of course because of the phone lines and power being down. Looks like we'll be here a while too. Praying for everyone's safety, as this storm is moving north , Hattiesburg, Jackson, and neighboring Alabama, is catching a lot of this too. Love u all... be careful and safe! ~Andie~
