Length does matter!!
Who knew that one inch could make such a difference?!!! I threw my back out this weekend after walking with my long-legged buddy! (What did you dirty minded people think I was talking about?!!)
I have three buldgind disk in my back and after keeping up with my 5'6" friend (I'm 5'5") I messed my back up and was laid up on the couch with muscle relaxers Saturday and Sunday. (So if I did post, I don't remember what I said!
). Monday night it was raining and lightening and we only walked one mile! I was going to do some more when I got home, but my hubby (John) wouldn't let me. (He has to be more of a Mr. Mom when I'm down and other things go lacking too!)
Tuesday we had Cub Scouts as you heard from Purple Twinkie One and we didn't get a chance to walk and Wednesday I had a stomach virus
Today has been a day from you-know-where! I really shouldn't say that b/c God is good and most of my day I felt great (especially after how I felt last night!) BUT it went down hill! For my job I was in Laurel, Ellisville, Bay Springs, and I flew (not quite but I was going as fast as I could and crossing my fingers that I wouldn't get stopped) to Waynesboro and back. My 8 yr old son had his first peewee tackle football game tonight and I had to have him at a field 45 minutes away from my house by 5:30pm (and I don't normally get off until after 5:00) so I skipped lunch and left at 4:10 and drove like a bat out of somewhere, scooped the kids up in the car and took off again to my house where we ran in (trying to change my son as we went) and ran out! I didn't get a chance to change and I had on a very thick pair of black pants (which now fit good enough for me to tuck my shirt in!) and a 3/4 sleeve shirt. Do you guys know how hot it still is at 5:30?!! We made it by 5:30, but the coach didn't show up until 5:50
Anyway, because of all this (no excuse I know) I haven't been doing as well and I've drank 2 diet cokes in the last 2 days!
I had some "light" ice cream (that was still pretty bad) and I haven't drank enough water! (confession is suppose to be good for the soul!)
BUT I had lost another pound as of this morning (Thanks to the virus I'm sure!).
I missed you guys! Sorry I haven't been on in a while! I made up for it in this one post though! (Sorry
)

I was fixing to come in here and tell you that you were right.. Length does matter.. haha....
Sounds like you have had a rough couple of days. I am glad you found your way back. We really have missed you.
Christine
PS... At least you didnt drink 2 two liters of regular coke and you had light ice cream and not double chocolate fudge.
You are too funny girl!! Thank you!!! You know just coming on the board helped inspire and motivate me! After I posted I went into the living room and watched "Jackie's Story, the 627lb woman" (talking about motivation! That got me moving!).
I did 40 minutes doing core strengthening excersizes (with my husband watching and making comments - "Is that called the doggie leg lift?"
).
I also stopped eating the ice cream while posting earlier and I am about to go in there and throw it away!
You are doing so good Christine! You look AWESOME! You deserve a treat and slipping a little is not going to hurt you. (just STOP NOW!!!
)
Thanks for being here for me!

Yes, one inch makes all the difference..... oh wait.. ooooooooooops wow, thank god I didn't keep up with that train of thought hehe.
Did I mention that I am an inch taller ? Somehow when I went to the doctor last time and got weighed and measured, they now claim I am 5'5", Ive been 5'4" all my life!! OMG!!!!!!!! So that's my story about the inch !!! Hey, you know, purple twinky two aka Joy, you did allright, we can't always be perfect, as long as you see whats going on and you vow to do better tomorrow.
Girl, I SURE know how HOT it was at 530 tonight. I took my big dog for a walk at 530 tonight, I walk around our housing complex, one round is about half a mile, so I walked the first two rounds, and I thought hey I should just go ahead and walk one more, to make it a mile and a half. So I did.
I didnt realize HOW hot it was outside, somehow I just kept going not thinking.. and when I got home, my poor dog just collapsed onto the tile floor, ( as he always does in protest, even though that's his only job, he still dislikes those long walks.. that wussy! ) tongue hanging out and acting like I just made him run a marathon.
I suddenly felt very ill. I joined him on the cool floor and I started getting better as I cooled down. I had not once in over a year felt this horrible after exercising! I had not eaten anything heavy since lunch, surely the nausea was definitely not from food. Maybe the fact that we had a thunderstorm coming in, I dont know, or the heat itself, could have been the reason for this ?? I also realized that instead of my usual 100 oz I had only had 40 oz up to that point, so maybe I was getting dehydrated? I dunno, but I felt horrible. So once cooled down, I started drinking water and once I got to 80 oz total, I felt better.
Live and learn. Girls.. Guys.. ALWAYS stay hydrated. It's amazing how fast you can get sick from this. Bring a bottle of water with you when walking/ exercising and keep sipping!!!!
~Andie~
Girl you are too funny! I pictured you laying on the tile floor next to your dog
Good for you for going the extra 1/2 mile (pun intended
)
How do you get your 100 oz of water in every day? Do you have a set routine?
Sonya and I do take water when we walk and take a swig every loop. We need to go tonight (we've only walked a mile this week!
) All I want to do right now is go home and go to bed (which is not possible with a husband and two boys) and the fact that I am going to walk 3 miles tonight! (wether I want to or not!) and I do NOT!

y,
Girl if you end up in the hospital we're not sending flowers but bottles of water
Nah, we'll send some pretty posies.
Have you seen a doctor about your back???????? I know of a real good neurosurgeon, but he's here in Florida. He fixed my 4 disc.
Sorry you hurt yourself, I'll be praying for you.

Velna,
Thanks for your prayers! I gotta know what "Tomanip" is for!
I have seen a doctor, chiropractor, neurosurgeon, and physical therapy for my back and we're holding off on surgery until it's absolutely necessary. My back has been doing really well (It hasn't "gone out" in months). I just need to watch out for that trick stuff, I mean, walking faster than I should!

y,
Tomanip is a hybrid of being born and raised in South Jersey and therefore a "Jersey Tomato". ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/bowdown.gif)
Queen Arlies adopted me as one of her "Turnips" so we combined them to Tomanip. It's better than Turnato, which was the other alternative.
Well when your back goes out more than you do it's time to see the neuro surgeon!
Be careful,
Tomanip
