We had to pay for a night in advance and it was a 2 night minimum. We were told there were no more cabins available because we were gonna share a cabin. We reserved motel units. Did you speak with someone at Roosevelt?

There is a Days inn at Forest, Mississippi which is suppose to be omly 12.3 miles from Morton. I'm not pushing Days Inn just relaying the fact."Just the facts M'am just the facts!" (601) 469-2500

I think the motel units that christine is talking about are the units there on site at the park. I know I called last week and they do still have units availabe but no cabins. And you do have to book for a two night minmium. Denise

Hmmmmmmmmmm. That means that we'll just HAVE to get there Friday night and stay through Sunday.Won't that be a shame. Do we use that same number for the park???????

We decided to just make it a mini vacation. Hopefully the weather will be cooler and we can all just hang out and visit. Melissa and I and our families will be heading out about 12 that day to head up to Morton. I dont think we can check in until 3:00 so that will work out good. We (I really mean Melissa) are gonna cook for the bash there so we dont have to worry about transporting anything. I do hope yall can get a motel unit, yes it is on site at Morton. I think for both nights it was 140 something dollars. But you can split if you are coming alone with someone else who might want to stay. They are 2 Queen size beds. They also have tent sites or motor home sites if you are lucky enough to have a motor home... So far I know Sandra, Me, Melissa, Becky and Rhonda are staying. (Oh gracious at the trouble we will get in) They have a nature trail and a water slide. Maybe if the weather is still somewhat warm the kids can water slide. Dont say that out loud though! They also have a softball field we can rent for the day if anyone is interested. I thought that might be fun.. I cant play worth a fart but it would be funny to play.

Yes, it is a shame we will have to stay from Friday to Sunday LOL. I hope you will come and suffer with us LOL. I can't wait. We are gonna have so much fun. I can't wait to see everyone I met at the bash Christine and I planned in June and meet the ones I have not met yet. I love getting together with everyone I get so much support from on a daily basis. I have not been on here much lately as my job has become quite tough and stressful. Christine assures me I will survive. I hope she is right. If I get to thinking I won't, I will surely quit LOL.
