I had a scary weekend...
Hey everybody!
Well Saturday night well early Sunday morning around 3 am I got a phone call from my little sister... she was hysterical and crying and it scared me to death.. I said what's wrong? She told me she had a car accident and she thought she had killed someone!
She was working in Hattiesburg this weekend doing security Saturday night for a wedding that was going on down there and on her way back to my parents house in Philly she had the accident.
It happened on the other side of Laurel on I 59. She said she came over a hill going the speed limit which was 70. Anyway she said that all of sudden she hit someting and BAM... she didn't even see anything in the road! There was no lights or anything. So she thought maybe she hit a deer, well she got out and saw motorcycle parts laying all in the road.. .and that's when she got hysterical... she thought she had killed the person on the motorcycle. She said she screamed and screamed to see if he was okay but she heard nothing... and she didn't see the rest of the motorcycle. She just knew she had spatted him in a million pieces... so she calls the highway patrol and she is screaming "Oh my God, I think I killed somebody.. I just hit him but I didn't see him in the road.. " Anyway during all this she calls me and freaks me out.. my Mom is crying and hysterical so she calls my brother who lives in Hattiesburg to see if he will go see about my sister. Anyway when the highway patrol gets there ... you will not believe this... but the man that she hit LEFT THE SCENE! The cops found him about 500yards from where she hit him.. still on his bike and not even a scratch on him! I just cannot comprehend him not even being injured after she hit him going 70mph. He was screaming at the police that my sister was drunk and she hit him.. it was crazy! He had been to that motorcycle rally they have in Sturgis, MS every year.
My theory on that is he was either taking a whizz in the woods or he was passed out drunk in the ditch and left his bike on the interstate and my sister just hit his bike.. and not him. Because there is no way he could not have been hurt ... I have been rear ended by a car going 55mph and it messed me up pretty bad... and I was in a car! I can't imagine a motorcycle.
Anyway to make a long story short.. the police aren't buying his story.. I havent heard anything else about it .. but I think he is trying to sue my sister's insurance.
Wel that's my crazy weekend..
. I am just so thankful that God kept his hand on my sister, and all she hurt was her knee.
Well talk to ya later

Hey Arlies,
Yeah, I am very glad she is okay. I don't know what I'd do without her.. we are really close. We found out today that Melissa, my sis's insurance is not buying his story, and they are doing a full investigation. However it caused 4,500.00 worth of damage to her Hyundai Santa Fe. We are not even worrying about that because that's what insurance is for. Just to give you an idea of how full of crap he is, they measured how far she pushed him down the road when they hit, and it was 3/10 of a mile... that's a long way to slide... and he's not even seriously hurt? Nope not possible.
My parents live in Philadelphia, and my daddy's name is Larry Miles. He grew up in Louisville. I graduated in 1996 from Neshoba Central High School, and yes I know Ms Hillman (not sure if she's married) I didn't not have her as a teacher, but I know her, she is a really nice lady. That's cool that yall were friends from college... its a small world!

The idiot
on the bike left the scene!!!!!!!!!! Well then he and his bike(motor cycle) couldn't have been hurt too bad. Maybe he was visiting his maryjane patch in the woods. Had to be something illegal for him to run.
Tell your sister we are glad she wasn't hurt bad. Give her a hug for me. The car can be replaced, she can't. I know I lost a sister and brother-in-law to a car accident, it was one of the hardest things I ever went through. If the Lord hadn't been with me I don't know how I would ever had made it. Believe me there was only one set of footprints because HE carried me.
Sorry you had to go through this, but am thankful that it wasn't any worse than it was.

Hi Vel,
LOL! I bet he was doin something in the woods... I wouldn't doubt Maryjane was there! I think something was up with it.. if he was puffing the magic dragon or drinkin up a storm they will find out from the blood tests they did at the hospital.
Melissa's insurance is not buying his story and they are doing a full investigation.
When something like this happens, it really reminds us that we are not invincible and that our life could end just like that.... It helps you get your priorites in order, and it opens your eyes so you can see the Lord has his hands on you and his angels are watching over.
I always make a point to tell her I love her when ever I talk to her because you never know when it might be the last chance you will have. I try not to take things like that for granted... because like you I have learned the hard way about losing someone you love.
Well I hope you have a nice evening and take care.
Hugs
Crystal
