Nobody Accepts TRICARE

Oh what an ABSOLUTE MESS!! I have been on the phone ALL day to find a participating provider. I can't find ANY. So I call Humana back and they say as long as I get a referal from my PCM I can see a non-network provider. SO I call a bunch more and find a few non-network providers, and even set up a to go to a conference. Then my PCM's nurse calls me and says that they are not approving people to see no n network providers, that she has just had people turned down... so there is basically nothing I can do at this time

It was great to meet you and your husband last night. I hope you enjoyed the meeting and will come to our meetings in the future. You can mark your calendar for the last Monday of the month, that is when we normally have it. This month we didn't because of Memorial Day being the last Monday, I moved it up a week. I am the one that coordinates the meeting and gets the speaker lined up. I hope that Dr. Jenkins was able to help you out last night with the name of the Doctor at Eglin AFB that may still do the surgery, be sure to get in touch with them and see if you can get in to see him. The good news is that October is only five months away if you can't find anyone before then, maybe you can be one of the first on the list when they start back up. UMC in Jackson takes Tricare and I'd check with the group in Covington, LA. Last I heard, Keesler will TRY to be open in Oct for surgical patients. Hang in there! smoochies Arlies
