Dietician at Pine Grove
I emailed the dietician at Pine Grove, Ann Blackwell, the other day like she and I talked about in the meeting. She seems to be very knowledgable and I hope this will all work out for us. For those who will be interested in what she decides to offer let me know and when I know -I will pass it on to you. Here is my email to her and her response. Before Ann came on board we had access to Dr. Carsons but he was only here for 3 days out of the month. He is also very knowledgable and helpful but limited on time to spend with us. I am hoping that since she is full time with Forrest General we can get some good help from her (for those of us who need it)..

Good Morning....
I am emailing you about the conversation we had last night on getting
together a special meeting for those of us who would like a little extra
help with nutrition information. Mostly we need help with how many cals
we need to keep losing and to maintain. For some of us head hunger is
back with a vengeance and we have tough times dealing with it. Some of us keep food journals and maybe having someone look at what we are
eating and critiquing them would help. Binging is becoming more and
more of a problem. At times I can fight it and at times I
just feel out of control. I really need some help on getting myself on a
schedule and dealing with the emotional eating. Maybe if we continue to
talk about that in the meetings it would help. I really went into this
surgery thinking it was a cure all and I was so wrong... Head hunger has
been with me since day one. I was never one of the lucky ones who
'forgot to eat'...
I know some of this may not be your area but being on track with a
dietician can be very helpful. Someone who understands so much about
food teaching those of us who know so little about food....
Does Pine Grove have any other support meetings that may be helpful to
me that you know of?
Thank you so much for any and all support and advice.

Her reply:
Hey Christine, I am in the process of seeing what I can do to help and
what else is available. I have e-mailed Dr Carson to see what our
program can offer. I will be glad to look over your food journals at
the Support groups and provide suggestions. I will also check on the
Eating Disorder Support Group.
Let me see what I can do. I do hear your request for help and I will get
back with you as soon as I find some answers.
Good to hear from you
Ann
Chrisitne,
Count me in!!! Let me know what I need to do to be part of the group.
Speaking of groups...
If y'all are interested, I would love to start a Bunco Group so we can socialize more. We could play once every other month. Each time we would go to a different person's house. It takes twelve people to play. Each person would serve as the host once every two years. Let me know if you are interested.

Hey Christine you can count me in for any session. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Sorry I haven't been on board lately. Just got back from Burmingham AL. the first week of school, got a cold there, meetings at school and with teachers nothing nice. Missed support meeting again because of a Very Importing meeting at my boys school Hawkins Ele. If it ant one thing it's another
. It drives me
when I really want to do something but something just a little more important comes along. It takes our wants over needs.
Take Care!!!!
