QUESTION ABOUT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

HEY YA'LL! I JUST HAD A QUESTION ABOUT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, I HAVEN'T BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH IT, BUT THE PAST WEEK OR SO I HAVE HAD ABOUT 7 OR 8 NOSE BLEEDS, REALLY BAD NOSE BLEEDS. IT HAS SORT OF FREAKED ME OUT BECAUSE I NEVER GOT NOSE BLEEDS... EVER! THIS PAST 6 MONTHS I HAVE HAD THEM INCREASINGLY, BUT REALLY BAD THIS PAST WEEK. IF ANY OF YOU HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, COULD NOSE BLEEDS BE CAUSED BY THAT? AM I JUST FREAKIN' FOR NOTHIN' ? I'VE TOLD MY DOCTOR, AND MY BLOOD PRESSURE IS ELEVATED WHEN I HAVE SEEN HIM, BUT HE SAYS ITS NOT BAD ENOUGH TO PUT ME ON MEDICATION... I DON'T KNOW MAYBE IF IT SKYROCKETED SINCE IVE SEEN HIM OR NOT. Hey Crystal , I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and have been on medication for it since I was 19 I am 33 now, I have never had a nosebleed from high blood pressure but, then again everyone is different .I would get that checked out though .Huggs........Sherry

I am on bp meds and have never had a nose bleed. I used to get short of breath really easy and would gasp for breath with the slightest exertion when my bp was uncontrolled. Could this be your sinuses? Are your nostrils really dry? I think I'd google "nosebleeds" and see where it leads and tell your Doc too. Smoochies Arlies

Hey Crystal! Yes indeed you can have nosebleeds when your pressure is high. About 6 months before they put me on meds, I had gushers of nosebleeds and even went to the emergency room once. I could just be sitting down at school and it would start pouring out. Call your doctor and tell him!!!! Cheryl
