WHEW! What a ride! To all the newbies on board, I know the first thing I wondered of people who've had complications is "would they do it again?" My answer is YES! Even after 4 weeks of "heck" I'd do it all again. So, with that said, thanks for the well wishes from everyone. ALL of my kids are home now and my mother is here helping me. I am extremely weak, but feel like it's improving daily. My lungs still have some pain, but they said it would take some time to heal from all of this crud! As far as the gastric bypass goes, it's all healed. I am not having major problems eating anything. I'm having alot of nausea this week, but there is also a bug going around, so I don't know how much is GBS or the bug. Are you ready...............???????????? I've lost 30 pounds since I began my WLS journey. I'm SO FREAKIN excited! I've also lost a half a shoe size!!!! How funny is that? I'm 2 or 3 pounds away from the 200 mark! At the first sign of weight loss, I actually cried. I couldn't believe those pounds were gone FOREVER!!! This is such a remarkable experience. Sorry I've missed so much on the board, and welcome to the newbies - good luck on your journey. Bear....so sorry to hear about your loss. HUGS Kimberly

Kimberly, I am so glad that you are doing better. Congrats about the weight loss, and keep up the good work! It is amazing that you were able to lose that much being hooked up to fluids and stuff in the hospital. That usually puts weight back on you. Get your rest and continue to heal. Let me know if you need anything. Rhonda

Rhonda, Towards the end of my hospital stay I actually weighed MORE than I did the day of surgery. Talk about depressing! But after I came home, I lost all this weight in a matter of days! It's been really strange! Guess it truly was just fluid. HUGS Kimberly

Kim, glad to hear that you are finally home and doing better. I also had a rough ride and lots of complications, and it is hard to get over them but the weight loss is great in the end. Just take your time and heal! Cheryl
