Oh no I start tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Bet you were wondering what I was starting huh. Well some of you know but I've kinda been quite with it to be sure I followed through. Well I am starting college tomorrow. I will be going on Mon and Wed and taking 2 classes online. That way I'm not away from Marci too much. I am so nervous ya'll. I don't even know what to wear. Do I wear pants and burn up or shorts and show my fat white legs LOL. I have always wanted to go back to school but never had the guts mainly because of my weight. I never could fit in desk good and always got stared at. Well guess what this time I'm doing.I'm going to be a Paralegal. I am going to Hinds Comm. College the Jackson campus. It takes me a little over an hour to get there but I would have to drive that to go anywhere. If ya'll can't tell I'm rambling cause I'm nervous. But ya'll are such good listeners cause even if your frowning about now I don't know so therefore I think you listened really really well. If you will keep me in your prayers the next for weeks cause its gonna be hetic getting use to school and Marci staying away more. If I don't talk much on here I'm not being rude just busy but I will try to keep up. Love you all Becky

I know how it is going to school with little ones to take care of. I had Stephens while I was a freshman in college. I was going to the local junior college at the time so no drive. But when I did all I could do there I had to drive two hours one way to get to college to finish my bachelor's degree. Then I went on another 15 months and got my MBA. It was hectic and tough at times but it was well worth it. You will do great and you can always come on here to vent when things get tough. Good luck and enjoy it. Compromise. Don't wear long pants or shorts. Wear you some capri pants LOL. Melissa

Girl I didn't know you had a masters degree. No wonder your so darn smart. I would wear capri's but all of them are too big I bought them at the first of the summer and they are falling off. I could make do with them but dang after I've worked so hard to loose the weight I hate to wear stuff too big cause you can't tell. I know thats crazy. Right now I hate to buy more capri's cause I don't know or I hope I want be able to wear them next year.If you could finish college with a new born then by dang I'm determined I can do it too. Just promise me if I ever try to wimp out ya'll all give me heck. Cause this is one thing I really want. Becky

I am excited for you. I want to go back to school so bad but just dont know when I would have the time. I am jealous of you but you will have a blast getting out and socializing with other people as well as getting an education. In the words of my daughter: Girls go to college to get more knowledge... Boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider....Just say that to all the boys.

Congratulations Becky! You'll do Great! Wear What ever makes you comfortable. Speaking as a college professor, We see enough of every type of dress to Be completely un-phased by whatever A student wears. It's your tuition, Get all from the courses you possibly can. WTG on starting back to school Becky!!! I go back today also. I go to Hinds at the Vicksburg branch. I have been going for awhile now. I had hoped to graduate this semester, but because I am having surgery in a few weeks, I decided to just spread the few classes that I needed to graduate into 2 semesters so that I wouldn't overdo it. Someone suggested wearing capri's, which is a great idea, thats what I am gonna wear. And they are very comfortable. I was sick with other problems for a long time and finally I made the decision to go back to school. It was worth it, and I felt a sense of achievement because I was finally doing something and not just taking up space anymore. It is nice to excel and see yourself do well, and I wish you the best of luck! Hope you have a great first day! Thanks queen that would be great. I don't have a lunch break because I go from 9:30-1:45 but I will meet you oneday after school and we will have a late lunch. I am going to be a Paralegal I figure the way I love to argue I need to be in the legal field. I did wear shorts and outside they felt good but those classrooms were cold. I've got to buy some more clothes that is just all it is to it. Becky

Im so proud of you , your gonna do great. I have always said that i would never go back to school, i was not a good student, but lately its all i can think about. I'm bored with being a stay-home-mommy, i need something for me , im going to be watching you and maybe just maybe next year i will get up the guts to try school again. Oh and wear a skirt, i dont wear shorts eeeeeeewwwwwwww my legs are awful in shorts!! or i was gonna say capri pants like Melissa, but i know how it is for everything to be fallin off! I've been looking at the sale racks and wanting to buy for next year, but i dont have a clue what size to buy, i guess i will have to pay full price next year ,grrrrrrrr !!!!!!
