Did anyone have pre-op spouse problem ?

Hi Wanda, I agree with the women here, I think it is just jitters. I think he may be afrain of the unknown. Also of people just don't understand why we would risk death to do this to ourselves. I am kinda keeping it to myself. My mom and dad know, and my husband and niece/daughter. Some of my co-workers know, but they are really supportive because there are 2 people who have already had it done where I work. Maybe you can print out some info for him... you know, the good stuff. He may be afraid that you are going to change into someone different. Esp if you have been heavy since you have been with him. Reassure him that you may become more outgoing, but you will still be you, and you will still love him Good luck. I hope he comes around. You really need him now and when you are going through this. Hey Connie, I have told only the people who had to know, my family are very supportive. I didn't get this big until I lost my oldest son in 1979 . Before that I went up and down ,but kept it under control for the most part. He has not know me any other than heavy for 27 years. When you look at it that way .That is alot for him. Your right I really do need him. Wanda
