Insurance to cover WLS

I'm looking into getting a seperate individual insurance policy for me to cover the WLS. I already have BCBS of MS and I know they won't cover the surgery. Does anyone know of any individual insurance companies that will cover this???

Hey Karine! Good luck with the insurance. Voc Rehab also covers it, but I think you have to jump thru lots and lots of hoops.....Have your hubby join the military. That's the easiest solution I know!!! Smoochies Arlies

I've been denied Voc Rehab one time already, but there are no doctors in Jackson that are accepting it. So, thats why I'm looking into another policy to cover the surgery. I've called Becky and left her message. Hopefully, she'll contact me soon. As for hubby going into the military, I have to have one first.... lol. Thanks for the tips!!

Karine, Is it because the Doctor and Hospital are not preferred? I have BC/BS Federal (same as of Florida) and the Doctor I'm going to see in Biloxi and the hospital are preferred so the insurance is paying 90%.
