Did anyone having surgery in Oxford have a binder on after surgery? I know it helps support alot and was just wondering so I would know what to expect. Thanks!! Judy

Judy, I will be praying for you tomorrow. As far the binder, I did not have one. I did have to wear those lovely hospital stockings to keep me from developing blood clots in my legs. Everyone I have talked to says the faster you get up and walk the better. Drink like they tell you. Post on OH as soon as you or a family member can. Best Wishes, Sonya Sumrall

I did. It helped so much too. I took it off and walked a lil it felt like my tummy was going every where and I hated the feeling. I took mine off when I was 6 weeks post op A bit long but when I took it off my tummy was fine. I had surgery in Oxford by Dr. King. ~April~ LAP RNY May 13, 2005 21 yrs old, 5'1 231 / 185.5 / 120

Judy, I had one and it helped when you wake up, it's already there trust me when they come to pull you out of bed that night to start walking the binder really helps. ask for a recliner when staying there at the hospital easier to get out of bed than the bed trust me on this the girls on 2 west are great and nice..... good luck Lisa
