SUNDAY ROLL CALL!!!!!!!
Happy Sunday!!! I am hoping Monday or Tuesday to get my lift put in so that I can FINALLY go back to Church. I have refused to make my dh or Em load Christine in Church clothes.... so I've been out a while.....
Roll Call question is:
What is your very earliest memory????
Mine is when I was very small, wearing nothing but a diaper. I have 4 older brothers and sisters (2 of each). My Mother worked days at a factory and my Daddy worked nights as a nigh****chman and slept and "watched" us kids during the day! Sissie is 10 years older than me and we lived out in the country and traveled the woods in a pack! One day we walked thru the woods to almost the highway behind the house (about a mile) and I could see cars passing on the highway. Sissie said to me, "don't get too close or they will see you wearing nothing but your diaper and laugh at you." I was mortified they'd see me in my diaper and laugh....I hid behind a tree and peaked out. I was prolly 18 months or younger......

You are too funny... You were a clown when you were a tot too.. haha
My earliest memory is of my aunt picking me up and throwing me in the air. I was probably 2 at the most. I remember her long hair and bell bottoms. She was my hero back in those days. I dont remember words or anything just seeing her face looking at mine as I was coming down.
Hi Arlies ~~
I'm with you there, I gotta get back to church. Moving and summer vacation and kids and work and and and.. I gotta stop making excuses and find me a church here in Ocean Springs to go to. Geez I'm such a slacker !!
I'm hoping and praying for you that you get your lift on Monday , or at least this week sometime so you're mobile again!
My earliest memory , I was almost two years old, was Christmas of 1970 and my dad was taking pictures, I was sitting on this big plush animal , holding another one of my christmas presents: I got a teddy bear , his name was Pico Bello. My sister got him for me ( she is 17 yrs older than me and at the time she was dating my brother in law ). You'd pull his tail, and he would say things like " My Name is Pico Bello " and " I love you" and " Please hug me". I loved that bear and I never went anywhere without him. I still have him, although he's gone mute, that tail doesn't make him talk no more, I guess I wore him out in those 35 years I had him. He looks kinda pitiful now but he still has his special spot on my bed and he never ever travels in a box, to this day when we move, he's in my bag with me ( hmm.. maybe I need to see a shrink after all? )
I still have some other memories from that time too, such as going to the park with my dad, we had this min pin named Sissy and I would pet her all the time. There are so many pics of me with that dog.. and recently I found out that that dog didnt even like me LOL.. geez! bust my bubble! haha
Y'all take care and have a wonderful Sunday. God bless !

HI ALL! SPEAKING OF CHURCH, ANY OF YOU IN THE MERIDIAN OR SURROUNDING AREAS ARE INVITED TO COME TO MY CHURCH. MY PASTOR HAS ASKED EVERYONE TO JOIN "INVITE SOMEONE TO CHURCH MONTH" MY PASTOR IS DARRELL DUMAS OF TOUCHING HANDS MINISTRIES. THE CHURCH IS APP. 4 MILES PAST THE AIRPORT IN SAVOY, IT'S ON THE HILL PAST THE LITTLE WHITE CHURCH. YA'LL COME! AS FOR MEMORIES, MINE WAS WHEN I WAS ABOUT 3. MY MAMA WAS GOING TO DROP ME OFF A PIER & DADDY WAS (SUPPOSED) TO CATCH ME. HE DIDN'T. I REMEMBER GOING DOWN UNDER WATER, SCARED THE PEE OUT OF ME. TILL THIS DAY, I DON'T LIKE TO GO UNDER WATER. I JUST LIKE TO LOOK AT THE WAVES. YA'LL HAVE A BLESSED DAY. WHEW! TALK ABOUT LONG WINDED!!!!!!!!
Some of my earliest memories are with my Paw Paw (my dad's father). I remember being in the garden with him all the time. He farmed. We would weed the garden. And once when I was three he was weeding the butter beans and I was right behind him helping him only when he got to the end of the row I had pulled the butter bean plants up. He didn't even get mad. Another memory of him is when he and I and my mom went to my Uncle Nathan's store for some groceries. We ran into one of my Paw Paw's friends. I pulled on his friends pants leg until he looked down at me and then I told him to zip his pants or his (you know) was going to get out. My Paw Paw nearly lost it. He was so red faced laughing in the car all the way home. My mother was so embarrassed. But you know kids are honest. What can I say.

Arlies I am praying that oyu will get your lift in asap.
My earliest memories are of me sitting on a snowmobile in front of someone and going down the road a ways and back to my mom. I have told her of this and she says I cant possibly remember this because I was too young But I can I swear I have told her details that I remember and it freaks her out so bad lol. I dont know how old I was but it was super young apparently she said I was just barely sitting up on my own good at the time.

Earliest Memory age two!
For all you early risers, you know that as a TV station starts the day it plays the nation anthem. I used to make my dad stand directly behind my mom and I would stand directly in front of her. I made everyone put their hand over their heart and sing. And mom and dad were not allowed to laugh because I thought we were praying to God.

Hey Your Majestknee, (curtsies to you )
how are you ?fine.I hope. My earliest memory was when I was 3 years old there was an elderly lady that lived down the street from us.My Mom had went to check on her and apparently the woman had fell down and broke her leg because ,I can remember her laying in the back yard screaming in agony and holding her leg I remember how scared it made me.I had never heard such a blood curdling scream .....well that's all i got lol.....Huggs...Sherry...
My earliest memory would have to be when I was about 5, my grandfather and my daddy used to grow tobacco, and back then they had to string and unstring the tobacco on tobacco sticks. The people who worked with them would get about 5 cents a stick that they unstrung. I used to sneak around and steal everyones sticks and put them into "my" pile so that I would get paid. My sisters did not like that at all, because they actually had to work and I spent most of my time over at my granny's house being spoiled.
Hope everyone has a great week!

My earliest memory that I can date, was when I was 2 years old. My sister was born when I was 22 months old and we were going to Gulfport from Hattiesburg to show off the new baby to my paternal grandparents. The car we had was one of those that the back doors had the hinges to the back of the car instead of the front. Along about Wiggins I told my Daddy that I needed to pee-pee. He said Ok, just a minute. Well, I took that to mean now apparently, 'cause I opened the door of the car. The wind caught the door immediately and since I was holding onto the handle, out I went. We were traveling about 60 mph. I remember telling Daddy I needed to go. I remember Daddy running towards me and picking me up, and I remember the Stone County Hospital where they took me to check me out. The room had a green bathtub and green tile on the floor and walls. I was skinned up pretty bad, but no broken bones. Hey! that's what's wrong with me! Brain damage! Here I've been wondering all these years, and it's finally come to me!
